  PVR150 or PVR150MCE with MediaMVP
Posted by: steve1999_CA - 2004-11-08, 06:00 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

I'm going to be getting a MediaMVP and a PVR150MCE. Since I'll be using the MedaiMVP remote control I don't need to get the PVR150 correct. I can just get the PVR150MCE. It appears that the only difference between the two is the PVR150 comes with a remote and the PVR150MCE assumes you'll be using the remote from Media Center and therefore don't need a remote.

  Transcend TV-Box USB 2.0
Posted by: mgriego7 - 2004-11-08, 03:23 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Will there be any support for this tuner in the near future? Currently I am using WinDVR3 with this tuner but I would rather use the GB-PVR software instead.

Thanks,

mgriego

  Additional EPG Matadata
Posted by: jasonf - 2004-11-07, 06:25 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (21)

It's a shame that a lot of the Zap2It metadata is not saved to the database (things like Ratings, Original Air Date, Syndication Show Number, etc).

I realize that a lot of this data is probably not in the EPG data feeds for other countries, and in order to support the lowest common denominator, it's just ignored when the new Zap2It data is imported. However, at least for us blokes in the States, having access to this metadata could help in solving a few problems while developing plugins (especially things like recording new episodes of a show, filtering the guide based on ratings, possibly some limited form of parental controls, etc).

Access to LAN folder from MediaMVP
Posted by: PeterM - 2004-11-07, 05:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am using the Picture Library plugin to show pictures, which are located on another PC in my home LAN. This works fine for the PVR350 TV-out GB-PVR client, but it does not work from MediaMVP.

I assume this is because the LocalSystem account running the MediaMVP GB-PVR server doesn't have network priveliges? Is there a way to overcome? Can the MediaMVP GB-PVR servers be started under my normal logon account? Or is there a way to get access to network resources from the current server MediaMVP server setup?

  Hauppauge Remote Not Working
Posted by: nyshocka - 2004-11-07, 04:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

I am trying to use the Hauppauge remote and it just doesnt seem to work.

I even installed the WinTV app and it does not work.

I made sure the batteries are in correctly and even changed them. The IR calbe in pluged into the correct port on the PVR 350.

What could i be missing? I instaleld the drivers that came with the PVR 350 on the CD. I tried the newer drivers but the card did not work, so I am sticking with the old.
Could it be there are sep drivers for the remote that were not installed.

Would IR.exe somehow work with it. I am willing to use it if it works.

Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 - Supported by GB-PVR yet?
Posted by: Ego_Shredder - 2004-11-07, 02:10 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (13)

I've read a few other posts but being new to this forum, I don't know which version is the "next" version to support the new Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 card. The version I have downloaded today is GBPVR0227.msi but I have no idea if it supports the card that I plan to buy today.

Please could someone tell me which version onwards has support for this card. I'm so glad I didn't rush to buy the PVR-250 now!

  Weather Plugin date issue
Posted by: PeterM - 2004-11-07, 12:10 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

The Weather plugin works fine when using a local GBPVR process (displaying via PVR350's TV-out), but when I access it through a MediaMVP, I get a wrong date in a wrong format (...as of 11-Jun-2004...) at the bottom of the "Current" screen. It seems all the other data on the Weather plugin screens is OK and identical to the local PVR350 displayed data, i.e., it is actually displaying today's data...

I am using the date format yyyy-MM-dd, and time HH:MM. The PVR350 displayed date on the "Current" screen is in the correct format: ...as of 2004-11-07...
