  Finally Registered!
Posted by: nyshocka - 2004-11-04, 07:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Well i was unable to register NO CLUE why. after doing it for the 500 thousand time (ok maybe only 50 times) it works!

in anycase i did get my system up and running last night
My Case:
PVR 350
Asus P4VP-MX Mobo
Maxtor 40gb hd (this is just for OS i am going to get a 120gb + soon)
256 ram
p4 2.0
I also went and go this keyboard
[Image: 23-107-114-09.JPG]
Thinking that i would use the pc as a regular pc in addition to an HTPC but being that i like the output of the pvr 350 vs a generic tv card w/ video out doesnt look like this kb will be of any use except configuration.

I also just got a DLink wireless card from a coworker so that will be going in as well.

Like a mentioned i also added a generic old 64mb video card i had lying around w/ tv out whcih i use for configuration.
Video 1 - PVr 350
Video 2 - Crappy TV out
Video 3 - DVD player/gamecube

i have also been thinkin of just setting up VNC server on it for configurations.

the setup was pretty easy

Just had to use the older drivers for the pvr350. The newer ones would not work for some reason.

also i have no gotten my hauppage remote to work. I did not install any additional software for the remote. Any advice?

I also could not get the theater plug in working. I got an error c:\theaters.xml not found. And the weather plugin did not work.

oh yeah 1 more question
what is the default port for the web portion, I am at work and i want to see if i set it up correctly.

ok thats it for now ill be around
thanks for the help.

  Playback recording problem PVR-350 tv-out
Posted by: evdwaard - 2004-11-04, 04:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I'm using latest version GBPVR, with a PVR-350. OS: Win 2003 server. Latest drivers, directx.

When I try to play a recorded file through tv-out, GBPVR only plays the first 2-3 seconds of the recording. After that the movie stops showing the last visible frame.'

I tried different settings but cannot get it fixed. Maybe someone knows how to fix this? [Image: smile.gif]

The native log shows me the following errors:

Error when I Fast Forward/Rewind Recording
Posted by: DavidJames - 2004-11-04, 03:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I recorded some VHS tapes via Hauppauge 250. They play fine but when I try and fast forward or rewind the screen goes black and eventually MVP comes back with the "connecting to server" message. Here are 2 errors I found in the gbpvr.exe-1.log file:

11/4/2004 8:13:06 AM.729 ERROR [35] Media stream thread caught exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
11/4/2004 8:13:06 AM.729 ERROR [35] at m.ah()

Any thoughts,
Thanks

  Comskip and watching
Posted by: MaBo - 2004-11-04, 11:58 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi,
This week I wanted to watch a program I had just recorded. However, comskip had just started dealing with the file. This caused an error. Therefore the following:
Would it be possible to automatically stop comskip (or ask the user whether he wants it to stop) when a recording under comskip is selected for playing.
It would be nice to tell gbpvr when planning a recording whether comskip should run on the recording or not. Some shows (the news for instance) has no commercial breaks within it, so comskipping it is of not much use.

Greetz,
MaBo

  Autostart any plugin
Posted by: Dai - 2004-11-04, 10:48 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Could you make it so that you can autostart any plugin (in the way you can auto start on most of the inbuilt apps). For example: GBPVR -plugin plugin_name.

Thanks

Dai

  Audio Synch
Posted by: applecran - 2004-11-04, 10:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I have installed GBPVR for the first time tonight.

I have a pvr250 with the latest drviers (18.22254) installed.

At first live tv would crash after about 2 seconds. I turned on SBE, and now it works, but if I use VMR9, the picture and overlays look very nice, but the audio very quickly gets out of synch. If I use Overlay Manager, audio gets a little out of synch, but PQ is bad and overlays look rough.

I'm using the Intervideo, Non CSS Video Decoder and same for the audio decoder.

I have tried with ffdsho on and off (it is installed) and it makes no difference.

What can I check?

  PVR350 TV out Problem
Posted by: bishop - 2004-11-04, 10:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I connected the TV out of my PVR350 to my TV with an s video cable and got a great picture but naturally no sound. The S video output from the PVR also has a set of composite connectors so I connect the left and right audio to my TV and got sound but the picture became black and white. I assume the PVR350 started outputing composite instead of s video and hence the black and white picture through my s video cable. I disconnected the phono leads but the svideo didn't revert to a colour even after a reboot.

How do I get the PVR350 to output svideo again and can I use the composite audio outputs with svideo or will I need to ourput sound from a soundcard if I want to use s video output?

  PVR-350 or PVR-250+Xcard/Matrox millenium?
Posted by: anders_lange - 2004-11-04, 09:57 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Hi I'm building a HTPC, and I wan't to be able to play all kind's of media types from DivX, Xvid to DVD's (MPEG).

Is the PVR-350 any good (and is it able to output DivX and Xvid to the TV-out or only MPEG?) or would I be better of with a PVR-250 and a Xcard or Matrox Millenium as TV-output source?

Is it possible to scroll down in the show details?
Posted by: Argone - 2004-11-04, 09:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

is it possible to scroll down in the show details? I can see only
the half information. It's not important but nice to have.

I can't find anything about it.
