  keyword search

Probably been mentioned before. But a broader search engine for recording. Would like to search by actor, or keywords in show desc.

  GBPVR.exe  Process
Posted by: Shoe47 - 2004-09-28, 03:37 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

My config:

PIII 800mhz
512mb ram
Windows XP sp1
Hauppauge 350PVR (svid out to hd tv)
VMR7

My Problem:
I am running the latest release of GBPVR. I have been reading the forums on GBPVR memory usage.  It seems that my machine will record 2 or 3 shows... then get a "virtual memory error" and GBPVR locks up.  A restart is needed to fix.
I look at my task manager and I see that the memory for the recording service and gbpvr.exe keep creeping up and never come down.  I also noticed that if I fire up the OSD there are two instances of GBPVR.exe.  Is this correct??  I have a batch file that restarts the recording service for a temp fix.  I restart it every night at about 2 am.  I've read the "almost give up" thread and tried the dll fix... no good....Any thoughts??

Thanks

This should be in the support section... My fault [Image: sad.gif]

  USB-UIRT
Posted by: blader_se - 2004-09-28, 02:01 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have a problem with my USB-UIRT. When changing channels to two-digit-channels, it only works 40% of the time. The sat reciever gets the first digit but misses the second. A delay would come in handy...

I read about you not implementing it for girder, ('cause you could already do it), but what about USB-UIRT.
Perhaps I just missed the place to configure it?

  net tv plugin
Posted by: reven - 2004-09-28, 12:05 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (8)

theres a net radio plugin, but wouldnt it be cool if there was a net tv plugin aswell? sure there mightnt be a lot of decent things to watch streaming over the internet, this might be a few years to early for this request, but it would just be cool, like a plugin with say 5-10 decent streams, and the ability to add your own, and a nice GUI would be so sweet. just something i've always wanted, i know theres a webcam plugin extension for the slideshow, but an independent net tv plugin would be nice, maybe with a record function, but that isnt necessary. just something that would be cool

  Network Video Stream
Posted by: madders - 2004-09-28, 11:11 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

Is it possible to play an mpeg network video stream, in a similar way to being able to play the internet radio streams.

If this is currently supported, or could be included, I could then write a plugin to remotely control a VideoLan server to play dvd's, divx, and many other media types.

Associating a new command with Live TV?
Posted by: joshley - 2004-09-28, 10:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Sub... Is there any way of associating another operation with Live TV as WELL as it's obvious current one?...? If not... what language is GB-PVR in? I could write a few lines of code to insert into the Live TV onClick or whatever it is, that would tell it to call a batch file only if it exists, thus meaning the code would have no effect should the file not exist and not change GB-PVR in any way.
