- You can now configure GB-PVR to run MVP servers as part of the background service. In short, you no longer need to logged in, or manually start the GBPVR MVP Servers to use the MVP. Network shares wont be accessible when running this way.

- Added a new Tuning Assistant app for those with problems determining the channel numbers used by your broadcaster. This will be more closely integrated in the next release.

- Preloading tv listings in background when GB-PVR first starts. This can be much quicker when you first access the TV Guide.
- Added PluginHelper APIs to enable plugin developers to play DVDs.
- Added a couple of new command line options. -topmost to keep GB-PVR in the foreground even when it is not the active application, and -noframe to start GB-PVR with out a titlebar.
- Fixed a bug with PVR350 LiveTV that would cause a soft lockup after about an hour.
- Fixed a couple of bits of display text that wasn't using the language.xml file for translations.
- Volume controls now works when playing DVDs.
- Keys 0 thru 9 can now be used on main menu to take you instantly to any of the first 10 buttons.
- Fixed a reoccuring manual recordings bug, and also changed how they are listed in the recordings screen.
- Pushing unsolicited screen updates out to the MVP are now working correctly (previously you had to press a key). This improves lots of small things in the application on the MVP. Things like netradio song name now automatically refresh when the song changes etc.
- Created GBPVRWake for restarting PVR350 driver after system wakes from hibernation.
- Added .rm (RealMedia) to the list of video filename extensions. To use it still requires a compatible directshow codec to be installed.

Would it be possible to allow users to add their own file extensions (like .rm). I'm watching real media files in windows media player with Gabest RealMedia Splitter filter and it also works in GB-PVR but only if I rename the file to avi.

I just got the USBUIRt device. I installed it ok and it seems to work with GBPVR....well, what I mean is, I can see it trying to change channels, but my cable box flashes on the TV screen. I have a Motorolla box that is not part of options available in GBPVR. I selected "Jerod" as the box codes in my cable tv remote programming guide list several boxes all with the same codes - Jerod being one on the GBPVR list....

Any suggestions to making this work? I'm Oh-so-close!

I have a Hauppauge 350 and when I click on FM Radio it says 'Failed to communicate with the GBPVR recording service. This service is possibly not running...'. FM Radio works if I use the radio program hauppauge supplied and GBPVR can record TV programs so I presume the recording service IS running. Any idea what's causing this error??

It's perhaps a stupid question (I'm alsmost sure it is ) But besides the described software in Quickstart what do I need to install for the PVR-250 and the X-card, before I install GB-PVR (want to do it as right as possible this time )

Enable Live Preview , bypass encoder for 0 delay and fast channel change
This will bypass the decoder and result in a 0 sec image delay as well as faster chanel change. Very useful if you plan to hook up your gameconsole.

Note : Live preview won’t work with all driver version, most of the 1,7 version work and some of the 1,6 just. There are to many drivers to list every driver here, so just test it and see if it works.

TV-out only on PVR 350 / Disable Software Mpeg decoding
Useful if you only watch the pvr’s output on a tv connected to the pvr 350. This will save some cpu time.

You get only output on the tv-out from the 350, the wintv2k window will stay black, no overlay activated so

When the gbpvr.exe process has been running for some time the logfile filles the harddrive. Is there anyway to turn the logging of, or at least, make it log less. Regards tonjac

This plugin has been working fine until I updated .Net V1.1 with the SP1 update from the MS site.  

When trying to Restart or Shut down I have been getting the message < Errorrivilege not held>  Clicking OK gets me back to the main menu but the Restart/Shutdown features are broken.  I then uninstalled and reinstalled .Net V1.1 and both features worked OK.  So there seems to be be one of the fixes in SP1 that is breaking the Restart/Shutdown features.

If I was to record a TV Show on one system would I be able to watch that same Show on another system on the same network?

Does the show need to be downloaded to the second system or does it stream?
