  groundshaking web-feature
Posted by: dottore - 2004-09-09, 07:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

i don't know, if anyone else has this problem, but in firefox the dropdown for the days doesn't work. sometimes, it just refreshes the actual page and sometimes it jumps right.

i assume, the go-button just refreshes the page, so if i clicked right, pressing go takes me another step forward.

by the way, internet explorer shows the same behaviour. have i missed something or is this feature planned for future releases?

the web-feature is a great improvement, thanks to all developers!

  VIA Epia-V 8000
Posted by: tweek - 2004-09-09, 04:39 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

Hi,

I'm thinking of building a dedicated PVR using the VIA Epia-V 8000 board (KustomPc Link). Has anyone had any experience of this mobo/cpu combination? ie is it good enough, are there any problems with it, etc etc.

Thanks in advance [Image: smile.gif]

  Can't Download Girder Plug-in
Posted by: clm - 2004-09-09, 08:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When attempting to download the Girder plugin from the plugin page on this website, the download link doesn't work, it just goes to a page that looks like html. I would love to try your software, but can't untill the link is fixed, or can someone please point me to an alternate download site? I have already looked on girder's site and don't see a plugin there for GB-pvr. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

  Live FF/RW skip on MVP
Posted by: Lucas_24 - 2004-09-09, 02:09 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Just tried GBPVR for the first time tonight, overall very impressed.  I will post in the wishlist soon.  I searched the forums to find out why I could not FF/RW during live TV on my MVP.  Saw a couple posts that said SBE had to be enabled and I needed XP SP1.  Does that mean that if I'm running Windows 2000 I can't fast forward live TV on my MVP?  If so is there any other way around this?

  Just Plain Weird!
Posted by: stu8080 - 2004-09-08, 09:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

This is a weird situation ive found i have, which im sure has nothing to do with GB-PVR and possibly not even the PVR-350 i have... but i dont know where to start looking for an answer otherwise!

Here goes: I have a MATX mobo with onboard sound. TV out from 350's S-Video has the sound plugged into the line in on the motherboard and the scart to my TV. All's good until i decide to take the mobos line out and connect it to my amp.

The weird bit: when i have the TV on and listen to the sound from the amp i get whatever is on the terrestrial channel on the TV, if i mute the TV, it goes.... im baffled, the scart cable cant be two way and be feeding sound to the PVR box can it?? This happens even when the PVR-350 is busy recording a different channel to what i can hear through the amp...??

Anyone has any clues im all ears but i have a feling your going to tell me im hearing things and to seek medical help....

Help - It's all gone pear shaped !!!
Posted by: mjp - 2004-09-08, 09:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Hi,

I don't know of anything that I have changed. But I got In from work yesterday and my wife (grumpily - since we have 2 young kids) said 'It's stopped working'.

I found that GB-PVR had crashed, so I restarted. The OSD works great, all the recordings were missing. I tried Live TV and it crashed again.

I uninstalled, deleted the GBPVR folders and reinstalled, it crashes as soon as I view live TV.

Not sure what on earth has happened, but any suggestions greatfully recieved.

I have tried other bits of software , wintv2000 works fine, I have uninstalled sage, so I can't test that.

I have not changed my hauppage drivers,.

Cheers

Mark

Audio levels too high on recordings?
Posted by: phuturetech - 2004-09-08, 08:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Is there a way to reduce the volume on tv recordings?

I found a couple of registry changes for audio levels from the SHS forums but they only seem to work for Hauppauge's WinTV2K software?

I'm using a PVR-350 hooked up to a Pace SKY Digital box.

Top work on the new version too [Image: biggrin.gif]

  New web interface minor problem
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-09-08, 07:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

First off, awesome job on the new web interface to all involved!

Steps:

1) Advance the time well in advance of current time (I filled in the edit box and hit 'go'Wink.

2) Select the 'Managed Programs' tab.

3) Select the 'TV Guide' tab.

The guide goes back to displaying based upon the current time instead of what I had changed it to previously.

Minor point I know, but mildly annoying [Image: smile.gif]
