  WinTV PVR problem
Posted by: midiman - 2004-09-06, 06:13 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Hi All

I have downladed and installed GB-PVR and i looks like it has a great interface. I am using a Hauppage WINTV PVR PCI card that I bought a couple of years ago. this is the one that predateds the PVR 250. The problem I am getting is that when I hit the Live TV button I get a 'failed to communicate with the gb-pvr recording service'. In selecting the capture card there dosent appear to be an option for the PVR only the PVR250/350. Is the PVR supported or does it just not work with it? The cards ok coz it works fine with the crappy TV2000 software. It also works with Virtuadub but not much else. Any help/insights would be most appreciated

Cheers

Tony

  too many recordings!
Posted by: fini - 2004-09-06, 04:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I'm having a problem in that if I have more than 7 recordings I can only see the first seven. Is there, as of yet, no provision for scrolling down to the rest?

  Taskbar icon?
Posted by: Henrik - 2004-09-06, 01:42 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Should the taskbar icon always show? My understanding is that it should show the red icon when the service not recording and the green icon when it is. Is that correct?

If so, I have some sort of problem, because the icon disappear after a while and no scheduled recordings will be performed.I.e it seems like the service is stopping but it doesn't say so.

I have upgraded with the new apifix.dll and many other issues seems to work in a more stable way now, but this still seem to be an issue.

Do you have any idea of what can cause this?

I'm connecting to the machine with terminal services. Can that cause any problems?

  Shuttle

Does anyone use the integrated graphic prosessors in the Shuttle-systems along side Hauppauge 250 or 350?

  Delayed response with PVR350
Posted by: manofiran - 2004-09-06, 12:12 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

When connecting Sky digibox via Svideo to a Hauppage PVR350, the picture and sound are both fine, but getting a response from a Sky remote control request can take 7 or 8 seconds. I.e. it takes 8 seconds for the signal get from the digibox to the screen. Is there a deliberate or configurable delay in there?

  new theme
Posted by: fini - 2004-09-06, 09:42 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (42)

Download Now

Inspired by the HDeeTV theme for Meedio. Thanks to dottore for allowing me to use some of the images from his theme. All the images are there so when the next version of GB-PVR comes out they will become visible.

There are two things that I'd change about this theme, but am unsure how to:
1. When you go over Jukebox for the first time it comes up with an error, but doesn't anytime after that
2. In recordings you'll notice I've moved things around. The only problem is that to get to the buttons you still need to press left even though they're now on the right.

If anyone knows how to solve either of those two issues or has any suggestions please tell me, I'd be more than happy to do some more work on this skin.

Two PVR-2000 for two different sources?
Posted by: stmok - 2004-09-06, 09:21 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Is it possible to use two PCI capture cards with GB-PVR?
(I already have a Sigma Designs XCard)

I'm just wondering if using two Leatek PVR-2000 is doable?
(or even two Hauppauge PVR250 or some other "Blackbird" class card).

I want to capture from an analog source (Cable TV and VHS) and a digital source (Free-to-air, from digital set top tuner). Would this be a bad idea?

  PVR 350 & Mvp
Posted by: tkgafs - 2004-09-06, 08:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hello,

I now have my PVR350 connected to my telewest set top box via a composite cable

and it works fine if I change channels using the telewest remote.

I also have a mvp which as of yet is not connected up to my tv

Once I have bought a usb channel changer thingy (redeye serial in my particular case)

Will I be able to control the whole setup using the mvp remote or will I need to use the pvr350 remote

My set top box is a signifcant distance away from my computer (about 20 metres)

Depending on the advice about the above I'll either move the settop box or buy very long svideo & audio leads

thanks for any info

Tkgafs
