  Atomic Clock Sync
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-09-08, 06:42 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Maybe have the option to sync the system clock to one of the atomic clocks? Doing that as part of the guide update, if desired, would seem a reasonable time to do it.

  Disappearing mouse cursor v21
Posted by: jorm - 2004-09-08, 04:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Kind of a strange bug. When gb-pvr is up and running and I am inside the app the mouse cursor is fine. When I leave the application and switch to IE, the mouse cursor is still there. But if I refresh (F5) and start moving it around it vanishes. I can see it effects on mouse overs.

When I go back into gb-pvr the cursor reappears. And it continues.

When I shutdown gb-pvr the mouse problem goes away.

This is on .21, I have only tested it on my work machine (there is no capture card on it)

Has anyone else seen this? I will test it on my pvr machine tonight.

  MAME?

Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has thought about what it would take to pipe MAME through GB-PVR?

Thoughts anyone?

  Config.exe crashed on install
Posted by: CodeMonkey - 2004-09-08, 02:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I ran the new installer and all seemed to go well, but right at the end, the GBPVR config.exe app crashed.  Here is the error dialog.  Darn, I can't post non URL images.

Ok, the installer was sitting at the final ' GBPVR has been successfully installed' screen, and a dialog titled 'Config.exe - Common language runtime debugging services' popped up with the text:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id = 0x61c  Thread id 0x69c

On the installer, I selected the 'modify' option.  I did not uninstall first.

Config.exe.log shows nothing special, but here it is:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">9/8/2004 10:14:24 AM.445 VERBOSE [8] installDirectory is C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\
9/8/2004 10:14:24 AM.477 VERBOSE [8] configurationFile is C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\\config.xml[/QUOTE]

gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log shows:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">9/8/2004 3:07:25 AM.318 INFO [34] Requesting listings for period: 2004-09-09T00:00:00Z - 2004-09-16T00:00:00Z

  Scheduled Recordings
Posted by: Brun - 2004-09-08, 10:27 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

Just had a look through a good months worth of posts, but couldn't see this mentioned, apologies if it's been done before.

When recording a scheduled programme, it's possible to begin watching it before the recording's finished. However, it only appears to only play back what was recorded up to the point when play back was started (sorry if that's not particularly clear). This means that once the end of the file is reached, you have to restart play back and fast-forward to the point where you left off.

Is this a technical limitation, or is it behaviour that could be changed in a future release?

  TV Out
Posted by: krypton_john - 2004-09-08, 09:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Hi, this might be pie in the sky but....

I can set up TV Out on my nVidia card and run the TV at the same time as the monitor. The TV can be set to clone the monitor, or run as a separate display. However if I run as a separate display, all I ever get on the TV is the windows background. What would be oh so cool would be if I could get GBPVR to take over the TVOut full-screen so I could use the PC for PC stuff at the same time with the monitor.

Does that sound feasible?

Cheers,
JohnO

Playback on PVR350 (TVOUT) freeses image
Posted by: MvanderHeide - 2004-09-08, 07:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

I've got GB-PVR (0.20) working on my PVR350 with TV-OUT. Live TV (inclusive of the XMLTV-part) works perfectly, but when I playback a recording the image freeses after the first 2 or 3 seconds. The only option is to totally stop GB-PVR and start WinTv. WinTV seems to &quot;reset&quot; the TV-OUT and then I can use GB-PVR again to watch Live TV.

GB-PVR is freesing the image with every recording in different quality-levels.

Can anybody please help, because I want to use GB-PVR as a PVR! It's such a great product!

Thanks,
Marco van der Heide
