Is there any support for the Ati TV Wonder Ve? If yes, how do I get it to work?

I am getting an error "OnGraphNotify: 11" after starting an mp3. Any help would be great

I have been reading recent posts with interest as over the last couple of weeks I have been attempting to get just Live TV going with varying levels of success. In the last week I have downloaded latest GBPVR software, latest Hauppauge software and VIA drivers and have gone back wards to the point where when I change channels the correct Logo shows at the bottom but the picture remains on one channel (TV3).

I will outline my setup and the steps I am following.

I have a PVR350 card with external antenna installed with a MVP attached. I configured WinTV with following channels (in NZ) TV1 54.50, TV2 174.50 TV3 195.50, CH4 210.50 which all runs perfectly.

I disabled the two MVP services and installed GBPVR.

I set up my first source as "TV1", Recording Source as "Direct Recording Plugin" with Type Hauppauge PVR350, Country New Zealand, Capture Device #1, Source Internal Tuner, Antenna.

In the EPG Source Settings I let the screen come up and just clicked OK, as I wasn't sure what I should enter against the source name.

I clicked the OK and updated the  Source and exited.

Using the Tuning Assistant (that I downloaded from the GBPVR website) I obtained the following channels and frequencies, TV1 Channel 7 54.25, TV2 CH 63 171.25, TV3 CH 76 193.25 CH4 CH 85 209.75, I noiced the frequency numbers didn't tie up with the values I expected.

I went back into config and added a channel with the value 7 against the TV1 source.

I repeated this for the other 3 channels, setting up each as a separate source.

I started GBPVR Mediamvp Service (the recording service was also running) and then  ran GBPVR and clicked on Live TV. Only TV3 plays, irrespective of what channel I select.

The same problem occurs whether I run Livetv on my PC or MVP tv.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.

I would like help on how to obtain a XMLTV file onto my PC for TVNZ.

There may be other settings that I should be making, if I haven't mentioned anything else it could be that I haven't done it.

Running this on a win2k setup, and is looking a real alternative to making the leap to linux and mythTV.

Variable bit rates would be nice to see to keep that disk usage down??

Seems when I change channels it will obviously delay between them it will crash and I have to restart the service. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

When I try to install the latest version of GB-PVR the installations stops after the license confirmation with the following message : "Installation ended prematurely because of an error".

I'm installing on XP SP1 and yes I have installed Microsoft .net runtime v1.1 (Dutch version though).

The application log reads : Product: GB-PVR -- Installation operation failed. Event-id 11708.

I have a Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe USB card and installed the Vision software (which works now and then ).

Can anyone please help me with this ?

My GB-PVR-box (an Asus Pundit-R) is pretty quiet; but still too noisy to keep it on 24x7. To kill the noise and save on the power-bill, i think it would be great to
(a) make GB-PVR shut down (or hibernate) the machine after recording a show
(b) set the BIOS wake-on-alarm to start the machine a few minutes before recording a show.

I don't know much about C#; but willing to test stuff if anyone gives it a try to build

I've been trying to get some PVR software working for days.

My PVR-350 works fine with my freeview box and I watch TV on my PC using WinTV2000.

The PVR-350 is connected to the freeview box via a scart cable which was supplied with it. This cable has a scart connector at one end which goes into the freeview box and a sort of small round 9-pin connector at its other end. This 9-pin connector plugs into the PVR-350. I can't say whether it is composite or s-video but I do know that WinTV2000 seems to say it's composite (after my hit-and-miss installation).

So I have one channel only ["Freeview"] in WinTV2000 and I change channel on the freeview box using the freeview box's own remote control, as I did before when it was connected to my telly. This is all fine.

However, when I come to try to get GB-PVR to work, I really am completely lost. What's the 'board number'? What source do I use. Whichever one I choose, nothing seems to happen.

I have got the EPG data and the TV guide works (except A. I don't know how to navigate back to the main menu - I have to exit the program and restart - and B. the Hauppage remote control seems only to be talking to the PVR-350, not to GB-PVR). But as for watching television, I just cannot figure it out.

I actually started out with SageTV but gave up with it. Could not understand it at all either. I'm pretty inexperienced with a lot of the terminology but I wouldn't call myself computer-clueless. I've installed countless software and a new hard drive and the WinTV card etc.

Is there anypone out there willing to help out? I'll be very grateful.

maybe this is posted on a wrong place, but I am not sure.

I wonder how a DVD film of over 3 hours can have such a good quality picture but my recordings with GBPVR is about 2.3 Gigs per hour? If a DVD is 4.7 Gigs it should be impossible with more than about 2 hours.

My question is therefore; Can I do something with my recorded files and reduce the size without the quality, so that I can burn them on a DVD?

As you all now clearly understands, I am not a programmer and is just learning how this all works.

I have just bought a pvr350 in my local PC World for 69.99 UK pounds.

They had two in stock when I got mine

dont know if it was a mistake or they have them on special offer

the pvr250 was 99.99 uk pounds figure that one out

my local branch in Dundee Scotland also had about 25 mvps for 19.99 but none of them were marked with the yellow dot sio I didnt bother with one of those

will get the pvr configured up tonight hopefully
