CodeMonkey the weather plugin works great I love that I could check on multiple locations without going to the weather channel and wait for them to put it on the screen.
but I was wondering is it possible to add to the "Current" and "forcast" sections the "Chance of Preciptation"
For the CNN feed, whatever the topic, when I select it I get a 'double click' message in the lower pane. For example if the topic (in the upper right window) is 'Bin Laden is a poo poo head'. If I select that topic, the text that appears in the lower box is 'Double click for information on 'Bin Laden is a poo poo head'' instead of the story.
Maybe CNN doesnt like news feed leaches like this plugin

And when running GBPVR.exe, this error message came out :
.NET-BroadcastEventWindow.1.0.5000.0.4: GBPVR.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point GetGlobalBabyJITEnabled could not be located in the dynamic link library CLBCatQ.DLL.
I've configured my gb-pvr as followed from the quick start guide.
Zap2it Plugin was the EPG source I chose.
I added a channel called "Now Showing" and set it to channel 3.
I have 2 setups I've been playing with and I'm in the USA.
1) Satellite box, VCR, tuner card
setup: VCR has line in coming from satellite box
VCR has line out going to a splitter
     splitter goes to 1)TV & 2)tuner card
result:
In live tv mode I can only watch channel 3 clearly. Using gb-pvr to change the channels results in static/fuzzy/snowy viewing. If I set gb-pvr to channel 3 and then use the satellite box remote control to change the channels, things get displayed cleary. In the end I achieved what I wanted watching tv and the ability to record using vcr or pc by manual recording for my initial test.
2) Satellite box & tuner card
setup: turner card has line in from satellite box
result:
Same has setup #1 minus the vcr recording cabability.
Question
Q1) Why is channel 3 the only channel I can watch my shows? I was hoping by watching livetv in gb-pvr I could change the channels without using the satellite box remote control. I'd assumed gb-pvr determined the shows I can watch by what channels I have stored in my EPG data list.
Example of my EPG data list would be:
Now showing   channel 3
KTLA Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â channel 5
KCAL Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â channel 9
So the default livetv channel would be channel 3, then I hit the next channel button on my keyboard, get KTLA ch5 is snowy/fuzzy, and the same for ch9.
My end goal is to have a setup where I can wake up my pc by a schedule recording tasks that I programmed in gb-pvr, have gb-pvr change the channel to correct channel as defined in the scheduler.
I have a PVR-350 and I've setup the EPG Source to zap2it. I've created the account successfult however everytime I update it takes about 20 or 30 mins and says it has an error and to check the EPG source. Is there a possibility that if the right Capture source isn't chosen it won't work right? Also I did check that the username and password are correct so the obvious is taken care of Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah and I did log into zap2it and set up a lineup for my local area.
Hi, I'm playing back a previous recording and I'm not able to make it skip forward or backwards with my remote.. now I swear I just did this earlier today... is this something anyone else has experienced?
Oh, I'm recording another show at the same time too.. if that has anything to do with it.
I'm wondering if anyone else with a PVR-350 is experiencing this.
I have a stripe the goes across the screen and rises vertically.. sort of like a vertical hold problem, but the picture is fine, the stripe is just like.. lighter.. or more washed out that the picture behind it.
I also have a very distinctive hum on my audio. I've verified that audio played from the computer through the same output does not have the hum, only audio recorded from the input of the pvr-350.
I recently switched to getting guide information for Dish network (sat in US) from basic cable. This increased the number of channels by a factor of about 5. When I start GBPVR and select TV Guide the first time, it takes about 15 seconds now to display the guide. The first time this happened I thought the app had hung since it was unresponsive. Once it does come up the app behaves fine and subsequent TV Guide callups are quick (since the guide data has been loaded).
I would suggest loading the guide data in app startup so that even the first callup of the TV Guide is quick.
