Hey guys, sorry for hijacking the forums, but I was able to create different groups for channels, but in the apps I don't see an area to show them. Am I missing something? On channelsdvr you can also have the option to view all channels with current epg stuff with tags like "football" and "sports".
I have a couple of devices running NextPVR and I noticed starting yesterday one of my devices now only shows an "All Channels" folder on the PVR live tv channels/guide? ....
I have checked settings in Group Manager and PVR Settings and I don't see how this happened? The other device still has all of the correct folders (USA, UK, Sports. etc.)?
When I add extras, if I make any changes it wont let me save and wants to make duplicates, is there a way to not lose linked xml guide data when I delete or modify/refresh channels from extras?
I recently lost internet service and found that when watching TV with NextPVR, the video stops after about a minute. I subsequently found out that internet access is required, but why? At the server side, I unchecked the boxes related to artwork sources as I thought this was the cause of the issues but it didn't make a difference. I have attached logs.
However, when installing the NextPVR client for Kodi as well, I'm not able to record anything. The red dot isn't displayed as well. What's wrong? Attached are the logs.
Setup: RPI5 with RPI OS 64-bit and Kodi. I used the db3 file of my previous installation of LibreElec as I want to try RPI OS.
When I look at the Settings page in NextPVR, it displays the program version as "6.1.5.231022" . If I wish to verify that this is still the latest version of the software, where can I look in NextPVR-land? After searching, I haven't found a value like this anywhere. I know that the program version is also tied into the version of nextpvr-helper, which has its own release page and versioning. I have v2.2.2 of the helper, which appears to be the latest, but it's over one year old and I'm starting to wonder if I've missed anything.
I also run NextPVR in Docker, which makes version discovery a little easier by allowing one to compare hashes between the website and the image manifest.
Do I have the latest version, and how can I check it? Thanks.
(BTW It's running fabulously on a Pi5 with latest Raspberry Pi OS).
My older Android 9 TV Box stopped working so I purchased a new Android 11 box.
I reinstalled the same TV Box software but now I find that most non-mp4 videos will
no longer play under NextPVR/Kodi/knewc, I receive "Player Error" instead. From the logs it appears that
transcoding takes place within NextPVR, not sure why.
When I first play the identical video (Honda Insight - Garage.avi) from within Kodi Settings File Manager
it plays ok which seems to imply that the TV Box hardware/software is ok with it.
Windows 10
NextPVR 6.1.3.230521
Kodi 19.5
knewc 2.9.4
Attached are the logs. Any ideas about what's going wrong? Thanks.
Two updates ago, where my W10 HP tower would sleep with NextPVR arousing it changed, power on light out, fan halts. Now the W10 update won't shut off the power light or fan and inadvertant wiggling of the mouse or hitting a key fires it back up to where it was. I disabled via the device manager awakening from the mouse or keyboard. But NextPVR won't awaken the computer. Am I now stuck leaving the computer in a state where a mouse wiggle will wake it up because the application isn't compatible?
I will sometimes get random channel changes to random channels. All channels have already been scanned. For example I load up the NextPVR Web app and put it on channel 8.1. Then after about 20 seconds of viewing it changes itself to another random channel. I change it back. It changes itself again over and over.
I tried both Edge and Chrome and reloaded it, no change. However now that I left it closed for a few hours I tried it again and it seems fine now. It's staying on the same channel. This isn't the first time though, so it's a recurring thing.
