Hi Everybody

I have a question regarding recordings, I am wanting to record a movie, but the movie has a ‘news broadcast’ in the middle of it as indicated in the picture.

Do I need to set a ‘once off’ recording to record the whole movie or do I need to record ‘both parts’ of the movie either side of the news broadcast?

When I tested this and recorded the first part it recorded but did not record the second part.

When I record both parts then Kodi shows two icons in Movies section for the same movie even when using the combine feature in Kodi.

If you can shed any light on this I would be grateful.

I'm trying to move across from DVBLogic - and in that i add the same source multiple times and it links and merges the channels. Meaning different network devices can connect to different channels at once (or record one channel and watch one channel).

However in NextPVR if I try this, I get a "Unable to Find Available Capture Device"

I go into Settings and the Channel I'm trying to play and copy and play the link to VLC and it plays there no worries.

I have a question.My PC crashed and i started all over again new installation.
When i played a channel program before the crash i just to see on the screen the stop,play,next menu,i didnt have to use keyboard or right click on the screen.now i dont see that menu and dont know how to get it back on the screen while the program is playing.i used different skins no change.does anybody know what iam talking about and how to get that menu back?

Recently Vader Streams changed to a new panel which has broken NextPVR.

The old M3U urls were password based like this. (Pass x'd out)

I am new to nextpvr.

I downloaded the ios app for remote access - I have no problem accessing the nextpvr when at home (same wifi network).

But whatever I do, I can not access it when I am away from home (using Verizon whenever there is no wifi).

I have enabled the web access and remote access in nextpvr, re-started recording service, but still can not obtain remote access form my iphone.

I have tried adding a server by adding my IP address and pin (changed from default to another number) - but still nothing.

A message pops up on the phone saying: "Sorry. Unable to connect to specified server"

I am going crazy here.

Just for your info, I also have playon and can access that remotely - This tells me that port forwarding is working and I never had to do anything to make that one work.

Appreciate any help.

On one of my IPTV providers, in a channel group, none of the channels work claiming that it can't find the capture device. I've attached a zip and would be happy to PM you my playlist so you can test it for yourself.

They work on other devices and PC software.

I'm using LAV filters for decoder settings.

A couple of days ago Vaders Streams changed their panel from an M3U that passed username and password to one that passes a token. This gave NextPVR a fit. I made double sure the channels updated properly. Even completly uninstalled and reinstalled to make sure it was clean.

Thanks in advance. I've attached the latest zip of the logs after changing and checking a configuration in the IPTV Device, which results in a different URL for a channel (I can parse my list and get either .ts or .m3u8 URLs).

When configured to receive the .ts URLs, the content doesn't play. Says "unable to find available capture device". If I take a URL out of channel details, and pop it in VLC - it plays.

When configured to receive the .m3u8 URLs, NextPVR appears to connect, but there is no audio or video output. Right-click on the black screen (with correct channel name in title bar) and it shows stop,pause, etc.
Again, if I take the URL from the channel details (this time formatted in .m3u8) and pop it in VLC - it plays.

I suspect the 'token' parameter is being parsed strangely or perhaps has characters that are unanticipated? *shrug* The logs don't seem to show the full URL of the channels in NRecord.log - is there a setting I can enable to get a full path (detailed or verbose logging?) - might help.

A little back ground to the issues Im having and what I have worked out from reading the posts here, and watching videos.
Background info
My main system runs windows 7 Media Center, I have a older Hauppauge Tv tunner that records my TV through the composite, I live in an area where we don't have over the air frequencies, So i use a Cable TV set box that MCE with the use of the IR blaster changes the channels. works great except that my TV tuner card only works in a system with less then 4 Gigs, and Microsoft will be shutting down the service in 2020.

So now Im building a a new system here are the specs, I7 windows 10, hauppauge hd-pvr 1212, (no IR blaster) using the windows MCE IR blaster, and cable Box Im using the front Composite on the hauppauge hd-pvr 1212 that goes to the cable box, the Ir blaster on the cablebox goes back the MCE IR blaster.

After lots of hrs and hrs and a few subscriptions (schedule direct) I got a picture to show up on live video with audio, one of the things i did was add the below lines into AnalogDevices.XML as i thought you need this for Analog (but nope)

under devices in the settings i have HDPVR Hauppauge HD PVR and Analog Hauppauge HD PVR Capture Device I set up the Analog Hauppage HD PVR Capture Device, and nothing showed under live TV, I then went to use HDPVR Hauppauge and in worked.
This is were Im not sure why the IR blaster does not change the channels
In my devices tab i go to the import channel list tab import source is composite Video and RCA front and import EPG Source Schedules Direct, Channel Changer is blank.

Im not sure what to do next to get the IR blaster to change channels, the remote does work with going from live video and showing the guide. i hope there is enough info for someone to help me out.
