First of all for this great software that really makes my multimedia experience complete!
I have an initial question related to the EPG and how this is updated. I found the following information on the wiki:
UpdateEPG.bat: Run when the EPG update begins at the time specified in Settings. Commonly used to update an XMLTV file used as the EPG source. No arguments.
So, I have actually two questions:
If the update time is missed, does NextPVR launch the .bat file as soon as possible? For example, if I have set it at 12:00 but I start NextPVR at 19:00, will the EPG be updated anyway or postponed the next day at 12:00?
I have found in the forum that is possible to use Windows Task Manager to schedule different EPG updates in a day (for example at 12:00, 18:00 and 23:00) through the command line option -updateepgonly. What does such option do exactly? It runs the UpdateEPG.bat or just reads again the data from the TV guide .xml file? In addition, what does "NextPVR is not started" mean (see wiki)?
Thank you in advance for your kind attention and support.

Sub, I'd like to request that the date format used in the web client be at least configurable, if not default to the international standards of dd/mm/yyyy or yyyymmdd. Thanks.
So I have my m3u list and guide from my IPTV service all set up in NEXTPVR with everything showing but can't watch anything or record. I'm on a desktop, Windows 7 and just want to record some IPTV. I'm not sure if I have decoders set wrong or what? thought my computer has some internal capture but I'm not really verse on it all.
Thanks for any help and this photo attached has the error that occurs.
I upgraded to NextPVR V4.0.4 a few days ago and it seems that since then the length of each recording in minutes is no longer displayed on the detail box to the right of the screen. Has it been removed or has my setup got corrupted? I did a clean install on a duplicate boot disk but that seems exactly the same.
When recording from my Prime Tuner, channel 247, at 8:00, 7:58pm really, I will regularly get 10mb recordings. Star Trek: Next Generation. I have no idea why this can be. "Watching" a channel works just fine.
I'm on Comcast. Do I have something messed up?
I'm trying to setup nextpvr as sat>ip client of my tvheadend server, but it only detect one tuner. Tvheadend was setup to export 4 sat>ip tuners, but nextpvr only detects one.
Hi, this is my first post and I am trying to setup the TV on my laptop and new to Kodi.
I have a Toshiba Qosmio laptop that came with a TV card etc and was working once with Media Centre which I disliked.
I have Win 7 Pro installed, 32 bit, Toshiba USB DVB-T/Analog Hybrid Tuner, the device manager shows this to be working.
NextPVR/Settings/Devices shows Type = DVB-T, Device = TOSHIBA Digital TV Tuner (Dev1 Path0), Present=yes, Enabled=yes, Channels=12.
Arial plugged in. Channels apparent EPG Scan = no programs.
LAV filters installed
NextPVR/Settings/Decoders, EVR shows, Default recommended, Default Recommended, no other information, NextNVR stopped working saying "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly etc etc"
I do recall another message appearing in Kodi saying "Unable to locate capture device etc" which after finding this forum and a similar problem encouraged me to install the LAV filters but I am not sure where to start.
I had everything working and it has been for several days. I left the house today and when I came back nothing will play in NextPVR. I have attempted a clean install and have tried LAV decoders and Cyberlink decoders. Still nothing. I tried the web interface and it just says streaming failed.
I can use the simple client in Kodi and view the channels.
