I know this is a bit outside the NextPVR realm, but I'm hoping some of you smart folks who are fluent in Kodi might be able to help me out.
I'm running Kodi 17.5 and found a neat little addon script which when triggered opens a small overly of a security camera and then closes it after a set period of time. The script works great, but it needs to be triggered from a JSON RPC API command to kodi from an external source. My security camera system has the capability of executing a command on motion detection and which works, but the only way I've found to trigger it is with a http command.
It works, but the drawback is it opens a browser session every time the VSR triggers it. So that led me down the path of looking for a cleaner solution which brought me to curl...
I've googled for hours and spent the better part of the last 2 evenings trying to get this to work to no avail. Here's the curl command I've come up with but it kicks an error. It's somewhere in the parameter string I think (note the id:null should be a 1). I've tried every conceivable combination of quotes, double quotes, no quotes, single quotes to no avail... for the life of me I can't figure it out.
I'm guessing it's something simple, but I'm to the point of admitting defeat. I'm way outside of my knowledge zone and I'm in desperate need of some help, anyone got any ideas? Just thinking out loud as I typing this, maybe I'm on the wrong track? I'm not married to curl, if ther's another way to reach the same goal I'm all ears!
I have tried changing the <from> to backlashes with no change. D:\Recordings\
I will also attach my kodi log to see if anyone can help. I first played the file through X-NEWA (not working) and then played through the file browser which works correctly.

I need to reboot the PC.
EPG Update is done at 3:00AM so does not seem related
I just installed NextPVR for the first time tonight and am having an issue with getting a blank screen when trying to watch a channel maybe 80% of the time. When it happens if I hit the back button and click Live TV it will usually load correctly and start playing then but sometimes takes a couple tries doing this. It doesn't matter which options I choose for renderers or decoders it still happens. It works great when I use as a back end server for Kodi but Kodi video quality is crappy and I rather use NextPVR interface directly. Any ideas?

Hello everyone and sorry for being a newb!
Iâve been working on this for 2 hrs and need help. Iâm running a win 10 64bit quad5 2.9 ghz with the Hauppauge quad tuner. WinTv 8.5 and NextPVR work excellent, detecting roughly 25 channels. Iâm new to Kodi 17.5 and have followed many guides but when I try to enable the NextPVR client 2.4.13 I continually get the error addon couldnât be loaded, an unknown error has occurred. Just for kicks I enabled the njoy n7 pvr client and didnât get the message. I donât know where to start. Could this be a 64 bit problem or Norton antivirus conflict?
When Streaming Mode is VLC, I can't play back recorded programs, it acknowledges the keystroke but nothing happens. Live TV works fine (usually; I think there may be some dependency on the VLC settings, but I haven't tested exhaustively).
Client is Ubuntu, Kodi 17.4, Estuary. X-NEWA 2.5.2.
It would be nice to have an option in NPVR to rename a completed recording's filename.
I have a program that automatically looks at the database, copies a recording to another computer where Handbrake converts from .TS to take up less space then copies it back and deletes the original.
This normally works great, but now that I am using the feature that adds the episode title to the filename there are occasionally some special characters or punctuation that make the filecopy functions fail, such as a question mark which gets interpreted as a wildcard. A lot of Hawaii Five-0 episodes also have accented characters that seem to have issues.
When I see such a problem, it would be very convenient to be able to just use the NPVR menu to select an option to edit the filename so that the database gets properly updated as well.
Other times this might be useful is for shows such as the news where you might want to add your own note to the filename that lets you know there was something in that recording that you wanted to keep. For that matter it might also be nice to be able to edit the long description of the episode. Sometimes stations make last minute changes to air a special when a celebrity dies, but the guide data does not get updated.
One nice feature that Windows Media Centre had was to be able to schedule a "speculative recording" from a wish list - to be able to say "record any programme with a title that matches X even though nothing like this is in the EPG at present".
Sometimes trailers for a new programme may be shown on TV even though it is too far ahead for the EPG, and it's nice to be able to set-and-forget - schedule it now so it gets recorded when it later gets into the EPG.
Likewise I may add movies to a "wish list" so they get recorded when/if they ever get broadcast at some unspecified time in the future.
I wonder if this functionality might be possible with a future version of NPVR.
I'm seeing a consistent issue when watching live tv and switching between an IPTV channel and a channel from the HDPVR2. I get no audio, and a message about "missing audio? you dont have a ac3 decoder selected", when of course I do. Changing decoders doesn't help.
