4.0.4, occasionally will when you click on a show and select play, will refuse to play, just get a black screen, back out and click and play again, and it's a crapshoot if it works or not. Also, the "skip" ahead or back (seeking) on a show where the signal went south (at the beginning, middle, anywhere really) can cause the comskip to record properly, but the player itself will refuse to skip ahead or back, the instant you try manually, it starts at the beginning of the stream. It also cannot play through bad signal loss files (had one today of The Orville, wouldn't play through it, but Windows Media Player will).
Not sure what to say, but anyone with satellite, cable, ota, with a signal failure part way through the show, will not be able to play it and if they on the mere luck can play it, you can't skip through it forward or backward, (comskip can't do it either).
Still seeing that 2 second video frame lag on all skips (including automatic commercial skip), the audio works though.
GuruSR.
P.S. Any chances of moving the "settings" to an actual menu item and out of that super tiny window that will most likely look like a small box on 4k?
I came back from holiday and now my iptv channels don't play and I get this error (unable to find available capture device the remote server obtained the error:401 unauthorised). the epg is still working and I checked the m3u link on vlc player and it is working I have also deleted nextpvr including the user file and reinstalled still no joy. I have hit google pretty hard today but I'm totally baffled can anyone help I would normally have given up by now but nextpvr is the best pc media centre imo so would like a fix
Just recently NPVR is recording all of these 6 minute 40 second .ts files to the temp directory and filling up my hard drive. I never changed anything so i don't know where to turn this off. I have to go in and delete them before they crash my computer. I've been using this for about 2 years and this just started. How do i turn it off ?
Thanks
Mike
I have set up the Hauppauge 950Q with Nextpvr, and everything works very well when I'm recording OTA ATSC broadcasts. However I'd like to record some TV shows off my cable box as well, and I'm not sure how to do IR commands in that case.
Is there an IR blaster I can get? Does it connect to the Hauppauge 950Q tuner directly, or does it connect to the computer via USB directly? How do I configure it in settings afterwards?
While I was looking through my NRecord.log for info on the archiving problem, I also saw a couple of messages and errors that I'm curious about. None of these are critical, but when you have a chance, if you could look at them, it might help a bit with troubleshooting in the future.
Here's the section of the log file for a recording starting (the full logfiles are attached to my message about archiving):

1. There are a couple of Unexpected errors which I don't think are important, but can be confusing when looking for "real errors":
Code:
2017-09-23 18:59:01.561 [ERROR][89] Unexpected error looking up metadata: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at NShared.TheTVDBMetadataPlugin.LookupMetadata(MetadataEntity entity)

at NShared.TheTVDBMetadataPlugin.LookupMetadata(MetadataEntity entity)
2. There is a message which says "cached catalog does not exist". What does that message mean?
Code:
2017-09-23 18:59:02.582 [DEBUG][75] cached catalog does not exist
3. Finally, can you eliminate the extra blank line when checking the HDHR status? I thought that you had done that before, but I'm still seeing it.
I've been using NextPVR's Archive function to move around some recordings. And it appears that when it moves a recording, it is not moving the *-thumbs.jpg file from the old location to the new location. (See the archives at 12:05-12:11 today in the NRecord.log file.)
Here the DeleteAdditionalExtensions from my config.xml:
I am using NextPVR v4.0.4 (170820) with Kodi v17.4 frontend. From time to time when watching live TV I get bad pixelation. Stopping the stream and restarting it fixes it. Looking in the Kodi log I see numerous "NextPVR PVR Client: Socket::read EAGAIN" errors. Sample from Kodi log is shown below. I have attached my nextPVR logs.
In the nextpvr log at the corresponding time I see errors "Not all bytes read@1 (only got: + 648). About to do second chance. (file: C:\Temp\live-TV1-4164-34-5.ts)" so it looks like the problem is with nextpvr not being able to send data to kodi. Any help would be much appreciated.
I've been having issues with the new 4.0.4 release with audio consistently going out of sync when watching recordings, (with legacy tsreader), so decided to downgrade to 3.9.2. But when I did so my Hauppauge USB DVB-T device seems to have stopped working. When recording or watching live TV I just get a blank screen, no video or audio. It's working fine in the Hauppauge WinTV software.
