Hello, I tried searching but I couldn't find it (and I hope I haven't asked this before)
I recently changed my EPG source, not my actual service. So channels are the same but names are slightly different and I have more channels importing now too. Since I imported the new channels and updated the EPG, reoccurring recordings seem like they know what channel they are using but actually don't. I've had this happen before but just redid my recordings.
For example:
Lets say I'm recording Archer it should look like:
Archer
1128 FXHD
10 - 10:30 Thurs
However now it looks like:
Archer
0 - 1128 FXHD
10 - 10:30 Thurs
The tell is the channel being 0 - 1128 (the last number changes depending on what the actual channel was)
Is there anything to do besides recreate the item? I've got a few set for shows that no longer air but sometimes they do besides I'd like to not cleanup and redo my schedules Also would I be able to change the channel if I change providers?
I am setting up a new Android box running Kodi 17.3
to interface with my existing NextPVR setup
but I'm having a couple of issues.
I can successfully use the Kodi Videos option to play
recordings via smb and commercial skipping works perfectly.
However when I use X-NEWA, I cannot play streamed recordings.
They always start buffering but fail with "Player Error".
I have an advancedsettings.xml file that should,
as I understand things, automatically switch
X-NEWA from http to smb playback.
But it appears to be ineffective when I try to play
a recording via the NextPVR Recordings menu.
Have I got advancedsettings setup wrong?
How do I fix these buffering/player errors?
These log extracts show both successful (via smb)
and unsuccessful (via http) tests of The Daily Show:

My related question, if I use X-NEWA to playback Recordings
via the NextPVR Videos option, is commercial skipping supposed
to work when the recordings are no longer in npvr.db3?
I frequently move recordings to alternate directories
which causes them to be removed from the NextPVR Recordings list.
My full logs, advancedsettings.xml, config, etc. are available here:
On many occasions, I have been disappointed when I look forward to a new recording from my HD-PVR only to discover that a minor power glitch during the night turned it off!
I would like to suggest a new command line switch that will tell HaupBlast.exe to send a Power On command to the blaster, delay(?), then send the channel.
Hi All,
I've set my NPVR installation to act as a client.
I've entered the settings correctly and can confirm that with the server / share name I can access the NPVR directory from the remote machine.
However, each time I start NPVR on the client, I get a message to say that communcation with the server name can't be made.
I've attached the NPVR log from the client, but I can't see any error in there.
Any ideas?!
Thanks in advance.
I have 2 hdhr prime tuners with 2 cable cards. I'm using schedules direct with epg123 for my epg. In the nextpvr settings under devices I scanned for channels and it found just about all my channels on my cable cards. When I go to channels and set all my channels to schedules direct. I noticed that a few of the channels that it found in the devices tab are not listed in the channels tab. Funny thing is it found them in Standard definition just not high def. the couple of channels that I noticed missing are 621 National Geographic, 622 science channel and 623 investigation discovery. I performed a rescan of the devices and updated the epg but nothing changes. I am also using schedules direct for my guide in WMC via epg123. And I have all my channels there. I am using Verizon FIOS in New York City.
The repo doesnt seem to work no more for auto updates
I can download the latest version but i cant add the repo folder comes up empty
Can you post the correct http://.................... in full of what its meant to be please ?
Hi. I think I must have forgotten something as I have not done this for a while. recently a local tv atsc tv station added channel 7.4 Grit tv which I picked up on a rescan. However the DVB/ATSC epg details for this channel dont display. However I can see it on my normal tv so it is there....
after following up with zap2xml I got them to add it to their database and their web pages shows the tv programs ok for 7.4. so I thought I would switch from dvb/atsc to xmltv and renewed the xmltv file, updated the epg details and ... still says no program details.
whats up with this? what am I not doing right?
The only odd thing here is that 29.3 used to be grit tv and it moved to 7.4 while a new channel appeared on 29.3 charge tv. I had some problems here as 29.3 would not show correct content either via xmltv until I changed the name of the channel on 29.3 in the details.. but now it is ok.
Does NVPR support 5.1 audio? I have my system setup as 7.1 and majority of the cable channels I watch are 5.1. Yet I only hear audio from L/R speakers. Does NPVR support surround sound or does it convert to stereo? And yes, Control Panel is set correctly and all speakers work. I use MPC-HC for playing files and it definitely uses all speakers.
I have dealt with this numerous times in the past by restoring to a previous Windows 10 restore point. This happens to me just about every Windows update but this is the huge Create update and I am not anxious to do this dance for that long if there is an alternative. Logs attached for this instance of this issue.
Everything works fine in this regard until a Windows update. I can't find the issue here. It persists even though I refreshed the AverTV driver.
