HDPVR device not allowing RCA Audio
Posted by: Jamesmur - 2016-03-23, 11:14 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (17)

I just installed NextPVR and I am happy except I have video no sound on live or recorded TV.

HDPVR device settings refuses to allow RCA back panel input. Instead it keeps falling back to SPDIF which is not available on the original HDPVR. The channel listing shows no audio source. See attached HDPVR Settings.jpg and Decoders.jpg and "logs-20160323-1035.zip"

Old video recordings from other sources play fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

  HDHomeRun channel scan
Posted by: Mick.J.Hou - 2016-03-23, 01:46 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Greetings,
Needing a PVR, I just installed Nextpvr and a new version of HDHomeRun on a windows 10 machine. All went well till I tried to scan channels in NextPVR. No luck.
Firewall was off during scans, HDHomeRun setup was set to BDA _ Default or NextPVR (Other:ATSC/QAM the suggested setting was not available). This is a DVB-T setup.

  Select recorded show and watch
Posted by: ericdraven - 2016-03-23, 12:59 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

On the "Wish" list for me would be to reorder the menu that pops up when you select a recorded show to watch. Currently when I select a show, the next option when the show pops up is Cancel. Usually if I pick a show, I want to watch it so the next click should be Watch instead of Cancel.

With my remote, I am using the OK button on my remote to select on menus so for my process, I hit OK to select the show then down arrow to the Watch command then back to OK to actually watch it.
Thanks.

  Internet Browser
Posted by: jrockow - 2016-03-22, 01:29 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (7)

Has anyone done any work on an internet browser?
I don't run NEWA, just the straight NPVR GUI.

I looked at the RSSreader plugin, but that won't give me what I'm after.
Ideally I would like to access internet streaming sites from within NPVR.

Maybe what I'm asking for is too complicated?

Issue with skip function during playback
Posted by: dowbits - 2016-03-22, 01:05 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Hi

I just installed NextPVR, and like it so far, but I'm having an issue with using the skip function during playback of TV recorded from my HD antenna. When I try to skip, the video & audio freeze for 15-20 seconds, the picture changes, then the audio starts up again and the video stutters and speeds up for another 10-15 seconds until it catches up with the audio. I downloaded & installed the SAF6 codec set, and am using the LAV Video Decoder for MPEG2; I've tried using the EVR and VMR9 video renders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - this looks like my best choice for a WMC replacement.

Windows 10
Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2250
NextPVR 3.6.6

Thanks,

Mike

Unable to Record Programs with Unicode Characters
Posted by: macedo666 - 2016-03-21, 01:17 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

Hello,

I'm having problems with some recordings and after some quick investigation I saw that I'm not able to record programs with Unicode characters on it's name.

If a program is like Moto Gp it records fine. If it's called "À prova de tudo" it just create the folder but no files.

In the log it shows:

Temp at 21/03/2016 10:07:56
2016-03-21 10:07:46.077 [DEBUG][9] Started recording (872:1027:C:\TV Recordings\À Prova de Tudo\À.Prova.de.Tudo.S03E04.Dakota.Do.Sul.ts)
2016-03-21 10:07:46.099 [DEBUG][9] Invalid file passed to StartParallelProcessing(): 'C:\TV Recordings\À Prova de Tudo\À.Prova.de.Tudo.S03E04.Dakota.Do.Sul.ts'

I'm attaching the log.

Thanks in advance.

MVP server binds to 127.0.0.1 after resume from standby
Posted by: alibert - 2016-03-20, 12:25 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

Hi,

I've upgraded my server, and it looks that an autostarted MVP server no longer binds to the server's external IP address after resuming from S3, but to the local loopback address 127.0.0.1 only, and my PCH won't connect. The following is logged in nrecord.log / mvp.log when resuming from standby:

I've already tried to add an implicit mapping from the server's hostname ("Kruemelmonster") to the external IP address, 192.168.178.10, but apparently still 127.0.0.1 is used.

After a regular boot or a restart of the server, it picks the external IP address correctly, and the PCH is able to connect without problems. Is there a way to statically configure the address, or is there anything else I could do?

Hauppauge 2250. NPVR only finds one atsc tuner on this dual tuner card
Posted by: johndutcher - 2016-03-19, 10:55 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I have set up npvr to work with my Hauppauge hvr-2250 dual tuner card (win 7 64bit, antenna only, npvr 3.6.6). For devices, npvr finds both analog tuners (#1 and #2), both QAM tuners (#1 and #2), but only one atsc tuner (#1). NPVR labels the second atsc tuner (#2) as a QAM tuner (see attached screenshot). Therefore, I can't scan for atsc channels on it, so I can't record two shows at once (error - no tuner available). Both atsc tuners are found on Windows Media Center and can be used to record two shows at the same time. I've searched the forums and can't find any help for this problem. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks, John
