I'm getting this really wierd behavior when I start watching a recording that is on-going. I started watching a football game Sunday after it had been recording for about 40 min. The game was still being recorded. Sometimes when I try to skip ahead 2 min., I end up somewhere way further than 2 min. ahead (like 20 - 30 min. ahead). This also happens with skip backward. During the football game Sunday I kept ending up back in the first quarter of the game when I had been watching in the fourth quarter! I finally figured out that sometimes this was happening when I tried to skip ahead further than there was time left in the recording (i.e. I tried to skip ahead 2 min. when there was only about 1 min. left on the recording). I wish this would just drop you at the end of the recording like it does when you're watching in Live TV mode. By the way, still love the software!

I've been having this happen a lot the last few months and in my case anyway, I'm sure I'm not asking it to skip past the available time left in the recording. Often I'm just pressing the skip button by itself to skip one minute at a time to get ahead of a commercial. It doesn't always happen, but it happens probably more often than not. And it seems like when it does happen, it never succeeds, but when it's working properly, it never fails... if that makes sense. It's not like sometimes during a single playback session it'll work fine but during the next commercial screws up. Once I realize it's screwing up I usually just stop watching and wait until it's done recording because I just end up getting too frustrated.

Also, not only does it skip too far either forward or backwards, but there seems to be a really long delay when it does so too. FF and REW also don't work quite right either, often jumping far forward before the FF or REW process starts.

Personally I'm thinking it's the decoder being used, and I'm not certain that gbpvr/directshow is always using the one it's configured to use, but that'll be another thread when I figure out a way to prove it. =)
