I recently put a Hauppage 150 in a box with a fresh install of Win XP SP2. I installed both the Hauppage proprietary software and have been trying to get GB-PVR to work. With the WinTV2k software I get perfect live tv and recorded video, however with the GB-PVR software I get studdering video both in live video, recorded video, and playback.

I have all the hauppage drivers updated, and it is the only program running on a 2ghz Athlon XP with 512mb RAM machine. I assume that some of the settings I have configured must be bad, but I have no idea where to start.

I am using all of the default decoding settings, and have tinkered around with some of the other options, but nothing has helped. I know the computer is up to the task, since it does it in the WinTV software... just not sure which settings are tripping it up in GB-PVR.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Mark

Its probably the video decoder that is being used. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here's the logs that I have currently... Not sure how to create a new one, but these all happened within the last hour.

Thanks again

Have you tried Overlay render mode? GBPVR defaults to VMR9.

The overlay setting worked well... unfortunately it was about the last thing I tested. Thanks for the advice
