i have searched through previous usbuirt problem threads, but unable to find someone with the exact same problem as mine.

before the 97.13 upgrade everything was working fine with my usbuirt relaying commands properlly to my stb. now, it transmits everything except the #8. if i press 28, it only sends the 2. if i am on channel 39, and press the CHANDOWN key, it goest to channel 3. inputting 18, results in channel 1 on the stb screen.

now gbpvr is receiving all the inputted info, and thinks it is on the channel, but the stb never received the last digit. (if i enter 28, gbpvr thinks the stb will be on 28 and it will display the info for channel 28, eventhought stb is on channel 2)

all other channel combinations work....every singel, double and 3-digit channel not containing an 8 works perfect.

has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like the USB-UIRT hasnt learnt the number '8' correctly.

strange, because it worked fine prior to the update. why would it receive the 8 on the gbpvr screen from input, then not relay that to the stb. that is what i dont understand. i would concur, if the 8's never appeared on the screen as inputted that it had not learned that code, but it does. it just does not transmit the 8's to the stb.

controlling GB-PVR (like typing '38' on keyboard or remote) is entirely separate from the the IR Blaster functionality (like sending '3' '8' out IR Blaster). Individual digits are not relayed or any thing like that. For example, you could have you system configured so that when you type 38 on your remote, it switch your cable box to 95.

If you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs, I'll check that is trying to send this '8' digit.

Thankyou for the clarification sub. i have attached the ini file for my usbuirt, as well as last nights gbpvr.exe.log file. there should be indications of the 8 in there.

thanks.

I can see it attempt to send these digits, so its looks to me like what I said above, your '8' digital has not learned correctly.

Quote:7/10/2006 9:05:49 PM.984 VERBOSE [1] Switching to channel: (28 KCPQ)
7/10/2006 9:05:50 PM.015 VERBOSE [1] Changing channels with USB-UIRT
7/10/2006 9:05:50 PM.015 VERBOSE [1] Sending: 2
7/10/2006 9:05:50 PM.843 VERBOSE [1] Sending: 8

If after re-learning its exactly the same, the other thing you may have to do is tweak the digit repeat count or inter digit delay. The defaults generally work well for most types of IR devices, but your set top box may be on the edge of its tolerance needing a little tweak. This has been seen a couple of times in the past, and can affect a single IR code.

I have, but only sporadically, only since the recent update and only when viewing on the P.C. MVP channel changes seem OK.
