Hey, I am having issues with watching my recorded videos. The playback will be fine and in certain spots it will just skip to another part of the video. Either back a little or forward, making the videos unwatchable. I have the WINTV USB2 PVR using GBPVR. I thought i may have something to do with the variable bit rate. It was happenign using the default Medium setting on the GBPVR software. I then changed the bitrate to constant & made it about 5000 KB/s, and the issue is still happening. Also i checked the HD & says it doesn't need to be defragged. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated & i will try them out when i get home (work right now).

Cheers,
Mike

have you tried viewing the video in another application? and if so does the same thing happen?

are you applying any postprocessing to the file? comskip? retime?

No postproccessing. & when i tried to view the file in Windows Media Player 11 it plays the video & the time on the video stays the same... like counting the seconds, but its like a segment has been cut out.

so this happens at the same point in each video? and that point causes problems with WMP?

to me this sounds like a problem with the timeline of the file, I know the pvr150 had problems with this. maybe you should try the retime utility to see if the files timeline was recorded incorrectly.

when i get home i am going to make sure the WIN TV drivers are updated, and try changing the settings . All of the settings in the config is set to system default... didn't change any of these yet, the live tv runs great tho with only a minor hiccup every so often. I am still new to all of this, so need to spend sometime going over the settings in the GBPVR software, Thanks tho

I forgot if the latest drivers fixed the problem.
I'm using older drivers.
I forget which version but I have them on multiple drives & marked as the drivers to use.
