well, mine does this too, and its in the middle of recording 2 shows and running comskip on 2 more, so its not fair for me to test it now.

I zipped my logs, maybe there is something in my logs you can look at while we get more info.

thanks

I've noticed this issue for about a week with my system. Live TV was stuttering every 5'ish seconds.

Even though I'm not serving a MVP on my pc, I set the "NextRecording" visible property to false. My video stuttering issue cleared up immediately. Now I have no problem running Live TV with VMR9 Custom playback on my lowly Athlon 1.7Ghz system.

I had a similar issue when I had the new ticker enabled. NOt sure if the two are related but when I removed the news ticker my stutter issues also were immedately resolved.

I upgraded to 98.13.
I had to fall back to an older dongle.bin. I got stuttering in regular recording playback as well.
The one in 97.13 works flawlessly for me.

Where was this setting? I am having the same issue with the video skipping every 5 seconds like it is dropping a few frames or something. I am not at home where I can look for the setting and my internet has been down at the house for a few days so I want to make sure what you changed. Do you know what this disables?

This thread gives a nice clear explanation of what to change

Quote:
The Next Recording widget is easy to disable. In your MVP skin's directory open the Main Menu folder and the file skin.xml. Almost at the bottom you'll see the Next Recording panel code and simply set it's Visible attribute to False instead of True.

HtV has kindly noted where it is, i.e. gbpvr\devnz\skin\blue\main menu\skin.xml
