In addition to the problems in my other post, sometimes via MVP music mp3s will not play, not sure if its a volume problem but no sound comes out of the tv speakers when trying to play mp3s. Restarting the MVP usually fixes this. Any ideas?

I'm still having this problem, music panel says mp3 is playing but no sound is coming out. (its not the tv volume either!) works if i switch off the mvp and back on.

Can you play the same MP3 files on your MVP via the Hauppauge MVP software? There have been occurrences of certain MP3 files that the MVP wont play in the past (incompatible bitrates etc).

You've probably done this but anyway: did you reload he dongle: unplug the mvp wait 30 secs then plug it in again and let it reboot.

I have done this, but even putting it into standby then back on fixes it. It just seems very random. My mvps as always in standby and 90% of the time switching it on works fine as expected but *sometimes* there is no sound. weird.
