I'm having a problem with the "record entire season" option. I'm trying to record a show on the comedy network at 1:00am. the problem is that the same show is on the same channel 3 different times during the day so I end up with 3 recordings of the same show.

Is there a way to have it work like a VCR where you can tell it to record every weekday at 1:00am on channel XXX no matter what the guide said? This would also be nice if I forget to update my xmltv guide. [Image: tounge.gif]

I agree with the remark! Would be really great if "record season" does not record all shows with the same name.

I propose the following algorithm: Look at start-time, look at the end-time. Calculate the mean (=the middle of the show). If there are any shows in the EPG with the same name, AND have a start-time earlier than this mean AND have a end-time later than this mean, ONLY then record it.
Also, the user should be able to specify if the show is to be recorded every day or only once a week (or so). So that also rehersals on a different day, but on the same time do not give any problems.

Shouldn't be to difficult to implement, I think?

Current work-around is that I record all the shows with rehersals manually (making use of the "every week"). But that is not where you have an EPG for....
