Hi everyone, I hope some one will be able to help me, I just bought a DViCO FusionHDTV5-USB Gold tuner, GBPVR detects the card, I can update my local EPV without problems, but when I scan for channels to map, GBPVR can not find any. I know the tuner is working fine, because I used it with the FusionHDTV software for a few days without any problems. I have digital cable, and have tried both with and without the STB, still can't find any channels. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks, can you tell me where the logs are, and I'll zip and attach right quick.

Wait a minutes, are you trying to retrieve digital cable channels? Sorry, but you'll only be able to use this device with OTA channels in GB-PVR.

DViCO's BDA drivers dont support the QAM tuning required for digital cable. Instead their app falls back to using their old proprietary WDM drivers when they do this in their software.

If you need to do QAM in GB-PVR you need a device like the OnAir GT or HDHomeRun.

Can I run the digital cable into the STB(to use as the tuner) and then into the Fusion tuner and only tune to channel 3, so I can still timeshift and record?

Unfortunately the analog side of this device is not supported, since it lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

I see, so I'll only be able to do OTA then, like with an antenna?
Do you think the analog tuning will be suported ever, or no?

To be honest, probably not. You might be able to get it to work with the plugin from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2753, but its not really supported by anyone any more, and a bit of hit or miss for most.

I'll give the plugin a shot and see what happens I guess, too bad I didn't know this before I bought the tuner.
