In dd-wrt there is an option to make the wan connection type to a static IP. Make that IP to match your subnet of the AP. Make sure you turn off dhcp. This is all done in the basic wan setup, should be similar somewhere in hyperwrt. Not entirely sure this will work since I have not used it in this manor.

And THAT's why I run cables... (I'm sufficiently needled BTW) Big Grin

Recently I learned a lot about pulling cable (DO NOT GO THERE!!!). I've been getting cat5 run in ways I would have thought impossible.

One thing I have learned is to use existing coax or other wire, tie a heavy pull string, pull the cable out, add my cat5 in, and pull the pull string Coax and cat5 through the conduit. I won't try it if it doesn't look doable though. Hate to lose everything half way...

I do run wireless at home for testing purposes. But at the end of the day, I just wanna watch TV...

Adding/pouring some soap/shampoo/grease to the conduit helps alot.
Make sure to fix the coax+cat-cable to the pulling very secure.
You'd be amazed how many cables can go through a conduit together.
As an electrician I do this all the time.Smile
