(I just upgraded to 64bit to get hypervisor running)

Got Vista on my workstation, but still 32bit.. guess those files are not the same.

I am running Vista and Server 2008 both in 32 bits. It works without any problems. I assume that for 64 bits you could use the same filenames, not files but have no proof for that. Big Grin

Looking at your name.. Dutch ?

Yes, Dutch! I am sorry but have realy no idea what the problem is with your specific card. I am using Hauppauge analog cards. See my signature. Perhaps you have to add one or more additional AX files from Vista. Just try it out. Is doe not do any harm to your machine Smile

I tried for several hours to copy reg keys.. I know what the problem is now..

Getting the following error from the (Terratec) software :

15:42:45.873 99332K( +688) DE8-BA0: ERR / CDVBGraph::GetTuningSpace() Get tuningspace container hr = 0x80040154
15:42:45.873 DE8-BA0: ERR GetTuningSpace() hr = 0x80040154
15:42:45.874 DE8-BA0: ERR / CDVBGraph::AddTsSource() hr = 0x80040154
15:42:45.874 DE8-BA0: ERR CDVBGraph::BuildGraph() FAILED with hr = 0x80040154
15:42:45.874 99364K( +32) DE8-BA0: ERR CReceiver::Connect() - FAILED with Error 0x80040154: Class not registered
15:42:45.874 DE8-BA0: ERR CTHC_JobManager::IAddReceiverJob() FAILED in pReceiver->Connect() (Cinergy C PCI Digital Tuner)

Looks like I am missing alot of keys and yes.. when I look in reg of Vista.. and look at all those BDA sections.. they don't even exist on 2008 !!

But it's impossible to do this by hand.. tried really hard.. it's 1000+ keys..

I did not add any(!) key by hand. Just registered the AX files. The keys were automaticly generated by the registration process.

Yes, you are right... with a analog card ! I tried it with the MCE150, gbpvr works fine.

I gave up.. after so many hours trying with the Terratec card.. Put the digital card into my workstation, will fire it up when I need/want to make digital recordings, works great btw with @home and CI (local cable company in Holland)

It must be one or a combo of xeon, intel chipset 5000p, ati es1000 video, lack of audio, I don't know. Tried 2008 32bit, 2008 64bit, vista 64bit and vista32bit.. all gave (different) issue's, none worked with Terratec card. (Not gbpvr, but also not Terratec SW)

Server now runs 2008 64bit and rocks.

Any special need for 64bits? Remains still difficult to get proper drivers.

Am going to attempt to install the 32-bit version of 2008 SP1 again & use the directions from this thread to get my MCE150 installed.

Previously...attempted to install the MCE150 with the 3.4D1 drivers from the website. The three issues I had was 2008 not knowing what to do with the keyboard drivers...GBPVR not recording & no MCE remote use.

No matter what drivers I used...2008 would not allow the keyboard functions to operate or even be able to tell me what the drivers were being used for. Found out what the driver was by reinstalling XP. For the second...GBPVR would act like it would record by making the folder for the recording...but drop out without recording anything at all. For the latter...the MCE (green button) remote would install...but be totally useless.

Anything you or anyone else would recommend would be very helpful.

After getting GBPVR to run without locking up 2008 Server...attempted to record some programs. After about 5 minutes of recording...GBPVR would stop saving the file...but still tell you it was recording. Giving up on trying to get GBPVR or any other PVR program to work right...have given up on getting any PVR software to run under anything which uses Vista as a base. Microsoft should be VERY ashamed of themselves for releasing Vista & 2008 Server.

On the other hand...have no problems at all running GBPVR with 2003 Server. Rolleyes
