I set Winoff to "Hibernate" and "Shut Down System When Computer is Idle" and "Run when Starting Windows Session" as well as "Save" (as in Save the configuration I assume). This method works Once. I let the system sit idle for 10 seconds and it goes into Hibernation, like it should. But when the PC is awakened from Hibernation, Winoff doesn't load? The Icon is present on the Taskbar Clock section till I hover over it, then it disappears. I checked Task Manager and it not there either. If run MSconfig" it is shown in the list of start up Apps.
I thought maybe this was happening because after I installed it I let it do the Hibernation task and it never got to a "real windows Start up" so I shut the system down and turned it back on and when Windows loaded, Winoff loaded, except if I hover over the icon on the Taskbar Clock section it says "no shut down programmed"
So I let the system sit for 10 seconds nothing happens, if go to "configure", the "Hibernate" and "Shut Down System When Computer is Idle" and "Run when Starting Windows Session" are still set, like I did before.
So that means I don't need to change anything. If exit out and hover on the Taskbar Clock section it says "then system will be shut down when the computer is idle for 10 seconds". So I let it go it works fine, until the system is back out of hibernation and whole disappearing icon things starts again.
I have no problem putting the machine and waking from hibernation, so I know its no a setting in the bios or Power management. I added it the list of acceptable application in my Firewall - Comodo.
I added to the DEP List in WInXP too. What could be causing it go MIA after Hibernation and have Alzhiemers after a Startup.
