BBC1 vs BBC HD Problem

Nearly in serious trouble with the wife last night.

Recording Stricly Dancing on BBC1 but not watchable as picture breaking up from start, (same as spooks recorded on Monday)

However it recorded on BBC HD no problems (must have schedulded it at some point)

Question is why is BBC1 giving me a hard time, the scan file looks OK compared to ProgDVB-S.

I did wonder about trying another BBC1 area, such as South instead of South East.

Any suggestions?

Is one of your tuners or LNB outputs a little iffy?
Did you get the snow last night?
Is one transponder horizontal and the other vertical?
Is one transponder on a narrow beam and the other wide?
If the weather reduces the signal then small alignment errors can make a large and sudden difference to received signal.
