Remote not controlling menus when playing Video_TS directory.

if you open it in windows media player can you control it

just tried my decoders power dvd7/8 both worked fine dont have anything else installed
you may find its getting screwy with to many different decoders or one not working properly so it goes to the next

I'm a little confused ... it's a hauppauge remote working within gbpvr. Thus the remote isn't going to affect anything playing in windows media player - .avi or video_ts.

gbpvr users direct show filters the same as windows media player im trying to figure out where the problem is either just a simple decoder setting or maybe something else within gbpvr
so by playing windows media player then it takes gbpvr workings out of the picture
you said your keyboard also didnt work not just your remote otherwise i would be saying look at your settings for your remote

Does it help if you change the video decoder on the DVD tab instead of the playback tab? (you can choose any decoder you want, just see which works best for you)

Edit: I'm not sure if video_ts playback uses the decoder specified in the playback or DVD tab

It appears video_ts playback is controlled by the playback not the dvd tab. But excellent thought.

No decoder accomplishes success. (= remote control working).

However, clearly pvrx2 is getting / responding to the remote - buttons like menu (home), back, aspect ration, usually work. Frequently, but not always, the progress button works.

I checked out just playing a regular movie disc - although I could use the remote for the top menus, nothing worked once in a sub-menu. Not the remote, keyboard, or mouse. Not on the system default decoder, nor on the cyberlink decoder - the only other video decoder listed in the dvd tab.

Something goofy going on. Particularly as others have reported / re-confirmed success.

you may find that the settings in gbpvr dont control the decoders for it at all
you may need to use something like graph edit to see what is been used then adjust the merit (program called gspot)of the decoders for that type of file
thats why its best not to go installing to many decoders otherwise you never know what is been used

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files and I'll take a look.
