because a think the problem is me old tv card TerraTec Cinergy 2400i DT the drivers off this card have not been updated since june 2008 Rolleyes

am think about get this one because a see few people on here has them
WinTV-NOVA-TD-500

could guys on here tell me what its like and do you recomend it.
or any other one what are better.

I haven't seen anything to suggest that there is a problem with your existing tuner card.

thanx Graham am just at loss now you the only one seem to be helping
a dont no what else to do a thought Sub might had look at me loggs but a dont think he has a cant think off any thing else to try .:confused:

you watch a channel then go to another channel then go back to that one and signal lost till a reboot:confused:

Seeing as the Hauppauge tool gave good results, to me, that means the card is working fine. Just a thought, did you run it on both halves of the tuner?
Have you included the patches from here? http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40303 probably nothing to do with your problem, but you never know.

If you switch channels and lose signal, then it might be worth trying this?
When the strength goes, exit gbpvr, but don't reboot, then run the Hauppauge tool to see if it can see a signal.
