Thought I would update my findings, so anyone who reads this saves some time troubleshooting.
1st - If you change the video codec settings to try different codecs you
might want to REBOOT your PC. I think GBPVR was getting confused and loading the codec I had previously tried, memory thing maybe????
2nd - If you have an NVIDIA card and threw that install DVD in a closet, might want to dig it out and install "NVDVD", this installs the "nvidia DVD decoder codec stuff"
3rd - The best I have found so far for settings is use...
NERO = MPEG playback settings
and
NVIDIA = DVD playback settings
Issues still to figure out. The NERO decoder is a much better picture quality than NVIDIA (maybe my settings, I'm still playing with it)
- The DVD menu highlighting is no where to be found when playing DVDs or DVD folders from hard drive when using the NVIDIA decoder.
If you change from NERO to NVIDIA, you will noticed a horizontal line roll up the screen and BLACK colors will look a little washed out. So I will be looking for a better codec to use or better settings.
However, the good is I got rid of the pesky Closed Captioning using the NVIDIA codec for DVD playback, guess I needed a push "Sub", thanks for pushing
my GBPVR is about 95% satisfying right now, this is brilliant software for freeware. I know my issues are not the fault of GBPVR.
FYI....tried the DVDBurn plugin, good stuff, I was actually going to build my own version of all those dvdauthor batch files and templates, now I don't have to, it worked like a champ!
