Hello to all.

I'm trying to use GB-PVR with an Itek "ITDVBTM3 USB DVB-T TV Stick". It is based on AF9015 chipset, and has installed an AF9015 BDA Filter.
I'm not able to start tuning, filter it is not listed into Tuning Assistant. :confused:
I read elsewhere I should send to the forum the log file generated by FilterCheck. here:

The BDA.ini already has an entry for that stick which appears to match your filtercheck:
Code:
[AF9015 BDA]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=AF9015 BDA Filter
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
This appears to be a type of tuner I don't understand however; when I first saw your filtercheck I was sure something was missing, but the bda.ini entry matches, and has the "RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1" entry that seems to explain the missing bits.

Perhaps someone else can explain what this type of DVB-T stick is and why it only seems like half of a complete BDA device?

oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that the Tuning Assistant is not for digital, only analog and also has nothing to do with setting up GB-PVR. It's just a testing tool and can also be used to verify analog tuning frequencies. You should just proceed to setting up your digital capture source in config.

I use multiple AF9015 based USB units on GBPVR and NPVR under XP VISTA and Win7 operating systems I use 10 AF9015 based dual USB tuners in 3 different GBPVR and NPVR machines !!!!
Can you tell us the operating system you are using and more impotant the version of the driver you are using for the AF9015 as the driver can cause tuning problems and lockups in PVR and can even crash "bluescreen " the OS if you have the incorrect version and cause detection problems.

I recommend you search for the driver for the AF9010-9015 version 9.6.3.1 and force the operating system to use the driver if you are using GBPVR or NPVR under Windows Vista or Windows 7.

THE AF9015 caused a lot of problems with the old drivers which tend to be shipped with these cheap USB dual tuners which tend to be version 7.x.x.x and do work with the software shipped with the cards , as a result you tend to look at a problem as being with GBPVR but in fact the fix is to move to the latest drivers from ALFATECH ........... hope that helps !

First of all, thank you both, johnsonx and fibreoptix, for your help. Really appreciated (I'm a complete newbie regarding video on PC).
Understood that TuningAssistant is only for analog (thank again j.) , I discovered that a button I was unable to understand in Configure ("Map digital channels to EPG channels") was the right one to find channels.

!

Correct, I'm trying to work on a brand new Seven with 1.4.7 version of GB-PVR. I checked the driver in use, it is already 9.6.3.1, but thanks for suggesting it. I'm still a little confused, but learning by trial and errors. Hope to arrive to a good point, the sotware seems exactly what I was looking for. Now I only have to find a way to schedule recording and convert to MP4 to archive when worth it. Hope I will find how on online manual.
Thank again guys.
