I'm having a problem when I attempt to either skip forward or backwards on my MVP. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it. A good example is: I tried to skip ahead 5 minutes and I ended up going forward about 20 minutes. I tried to skip back 30 sec. and found myself at the beginning of the recording. Lately it seems that all skipping goes forward whether I press the skip forward or backward button. I upgraded to 98.8 yesterday with hopes that it would fix my problem (I was using 97.13 previously). I found that I still had the problem, so I decided to to do a fresh install (new db and all) and the problem still persist. I've been using SQLite, so I don't know if that plays into it. I have done some recordings since the upgrade and the problem persists in them as well as the old ones. I'm using 3 PVR-150MCE cards on a WinXP Pro box, 1.5 GHz, 640MB RAM. I was previously using a 667MHz, 288MB RAM box and didn't have this problem.

Please help, this is driving me nuts! Thanks for all you do!

This sounds like the good old PVR150 timestamp bug. See http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006

Thanks for the quick response. I had hoped that the latest drivers from Hauppauge's site would have been sufficient. I loaded these beta drivers and I'll see how they do. On another note, what's the deal with the GBPVR-MediaMVP Server? I haven't had to manually start it up since probably v.94. Is this something that's changed? I just noticed that I had to manually start it (which shows up on the desktop) to use the MVP with GBPVR.

You also need to make sure you apply the registry settings.

News to me. Nothing should have changed on this front. I've not seen any other reports of it.

Thanks Sub, seems to be ok now. You da man. I started recording MNF, and started watching the game a little later. It seems to skip just fine with the new drivers (and registry entries). I'll check the MVPServer thing again just to make sure. It might just be taking longer to connect than it used to. By the time I get back to my tv room after going to my office and turning on the MVPServer, it's usually on screen.

In config, I had the Number of MVP Servers to AutoStart set to zero. (Head smack). I'm an idiot. Works just fine now.
