When using timeshift mode and when watching recorded shows, my skip ahead button will send the recording backward approximately 3-4 minutes. It will then work normally skipping ahead 60 seconds (I have skip ahead set to 60 sec and skip back set to 5 sec). During this the timeline will move ahead the time that it has skipped back. By the time I finish a 1 hour show the timeline will show approximates 1 hour 50 minutes out of 1 hour. This is also the case if i go directly into the directory and mouse over the file. It will say the duration is 1 hour 50 minutes even though it is a 1 hour show. Everything seems to work fine after the initial skip back using the skip forward button. Any ideas what may be causing this.

Sounds like a muxing problem, but unfortunately you dont have many choices for mux as an ATSC user.

Has the file definitely ended up with the .dvr-ms file extension?

Yes, the file is defenitely .dvr-ms. Im running XP MCE 2005 but have the media center disabled, do you think this maybe causing a conflict? Maybe a system repair would help? Im reluctant to go back to using the ATI or Cyberlink muxes cause I have had problems in the past with them. Considering everything works, its something I can live with just a little annoying. Thanks for the help.
