Maybe someone can give me some more suggestions of things to try.

Here is my problem: I recently purchased a new computer with Vista installed. I set up GBpvr and installed the new version of videoredo. I have been using this same batch script for at least a year and a half. Here is the condensed version I am trying to run:

REM If you use Showanalyzer, unREM the next line
REM "C:\Program Files\Dragon Global\ShowAnalyzer\ShowAnalyzer.exe" %1
REM If you use comskip, unREM the next line
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\comskip.exe" %1
cscript //nologo "C:\Program Files\VideoReDoTVSuite\vp.vbs" "%~dpn1.VPrj" "%~dpn1_cleaned.mpg" /t1 /q
REM "C:\Users\Doug\Documents\Programs and Batch Files\gb_bats\postpostprocessing.bat" %1

If I drag and drop a completed .mpg file onto this batch file in the GBpvr directory it runs fine. If I run it from the command line by substituting the actual paths for the variables it runs fine.

It will not run as a postprocessing.bat when a recording finishes. Comskip runs and produces the vprj file but the videoredo script never produces any output.

I have tried to change permissions on the various files involved but don't really know what I'm doing there. Maybe I should just revert to XP?

try cmd /c before cscript on that line...
or start "" cscript....

are you sure you don't have a parallelprocessing.bat with comskip in it?
if so the post won't run, and that's where the .txt is coming from..Smile
most likely cmd /c will work tho..

oh and make sure it's set to none in processing section in config.exe..otherwise the bats won't run..

hey, i see you've got a nslu2 hacked up...i'm looking to get one and was wondering what kind of performance you get out of it?
is it better/worse than pc-pc network copies?

i also heard you can plug a haupp. pvr usb2 into it directly and have it record directly....Big Grin
would be cool to hook that into external recorder for gb 'computerless' recording.. not something i would do except for a secondary source..probably not very usable for timeshifting..

also, can you record from gbpvr directly to the net drive ok? i always had livetv timeshift problems...[slow performance]

I've been very happy with the Slug. I've never done any kind of testing but it seems plenty fast across the network. I did use a pair of nail clippers to overclock it.

I don't record directly to it. The other part of my batch file, that won't run, is to move the completed file without commercials to the slug (NSLU2). I don't use the regular client setup we just use 2 pc's with gbpvr basically as network extenders to view recordings on the slug. The pc that does the recording is also my desktop and it stays in standby unless it's actually recording or I'm doing some kind of work.

I've read that about using the USB tuner also. I think the real killer app for the slug would be a way to control an HDHomeRun to record directly with no PC involved except for watching and scheduling recordings.....

The slug also makes a heck of a Torrent server. Descibed here.
