Playing Music Bug???

Think there's def a difference between .8 and .12. Copied all the executables, .ax files, .dll files and .ini files from gbpvr .8 to my gbpvr directory and it worked.

Again logs attached.

Hope that's useful. Wierd that not everyone sees the problem.

Oh and i just checked after the MVP client had started and the recording service was restarted, all fine. Think I might stay on 96.8 for a little while.....2 hours is a REALLY long time to wait for a song to finish.

Were you using an MVP when you noticed this?

no this is on the normal pc based one.

At this point it'd be lots of CPU, and the song would still be playing. Have to exit gbpvr to stop it.

Can you please confirm that it does this from the built in 'music library' screen? and when you say 'then stop' you mean the via the 'stop' button on the remote?

Yes that is correct. Using your default Music library, any song, start via the play button on the remote control. Neither the stop button on the remote works or the stop button on the screen, control-S on the machine via keyboard.

Can you try temporarily moving all of the .dll files out of the plugins directory and retry? The plugins get notified of the stop event prior to the music actually being stopped, and I'm wondering if something is going wrong in there somewhere.

Is there anything else about that uses the same way of playing music that you do?? Mplayer, vlc, winamp??

A difference in compilation?? Machine .Net Versions. Cos i'm assuming that you haven't made any changes to the code that plays the music.

Can you try the attached patch and post the logs? It just adds a couple of extra log messages.
