Sorry, I'm not intending to look into this with v0.99.12. My current build isnt compatible with v0.99.12, so I'm not in a position to provide patches etc. I'll revisit it for the next release.

The unresponsiveness of the remote control in v0.99.12 is so bad that I think I'll take my chances on the older version. I'll have to keep an eye out for the "frequent disconnects of the MVP."

I also tried the alpha version of mvpmc found here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25206
It looks like mvpmc is making some neat progress in terms of compatibility with other media centers. It will be neat to see how mvpmc develops in the future. But after messing with it for a while, I didn't see any advantage to the mvpmc dongle over using the v0.99.05 dongle (at least for GB-PVR use, which is what I use my MVP for). When using mvpmc, I even experienced a disconnect while navigating the GB-PVR menus. So for now, I think I'll stick with the v0.99.05 dongle.

SageTV uses a proprietary protocol in their dongle so testing like that is a waste of your time.

Anyway 98.13 dongle.bin is the same one in 99.05, it changes in 99.12 but that one is the same one found in beta release from HAU for MediaMVP. Well almost the same but more stable and you don't have the freeze-up...

If you really want to try something different, use the latest alpha MVPMC.BIN (http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=30) it has proven to be rock solid for me and some others.

Is the dongle you refer to the same one that is listed on this page as alpha: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=25206

Yes, that's the one. There are two other threads under the mvpmc subforum that you should look at: Emulation mode testing Round III and Can't autostart in emulation mode. It looks a bit tough, but the early adopters are there to help.

I second that, the latest alpha MVPMC.BIN is fantastic, Its my prefured choice of dongle now and is rock solid.

The advantage on using this one for me is that you can view live TV/Recordings in widescreen, the original dongle can`t do this.

Cheers
