PVRX2 aspect ratio playback problem

My apologies Sub, I should really read what I'm posting more carefully.

I meant to just say "a few" people reported this problem (me being one of them), and "if you do a search you will find a few posts on it", scim and pBS had also reported the same thing, why I wrote "quite" I've no idea but it does change the tone of the whole post.

To hide my embarrassment and also perhaps be a little more useful I thought I'd search the relevant posts on this and I've just found that Sub has already fixed this problem with the "On screen OSD TV Guide " patch in the survival guide:

Again my apologies Sub, it was a hastily written post trying to helpfully suggest that if athomas really needed auto aspect ratio then the old GBPVR worked for me or an offer to help him edit the ratio settings in the config file, it just came out wrong. I genuinely didn't mean to suggest that there were mounds of complaints about this that you were just ignoring.

Just copy over the PVRX2.exe from the above thread and that should sort it out.

I tried different video decoders before, but since I had made some minor adjustments to other parts of the system, I thought I'd try again to see if it made a difference. All video decoders did the same thing. The ones that worked would play the proper aspect ratio the first time and then play full screen the next time and all subsequent times after that. I then went back to my original Nvidia decoder. Now it works fine for all plays. Go figure. I didn't make any adjustments or other than changing decoders and then back to the Nvidia.

I'm happy to have it working. I think I'm gonna go bang my head against the wall for a while.

I know that feeling . I gotta be more careful how I post, sometimes I think I only open my mouth to change feet

I would like to add that i too have this problem with the aspect ratio working only once when I play the file and streched if I play it again

using various decoders.

Personally it only affected my recordings, all other video was fine.

If thats the same case for you, then the first thing I'd try is the "On screen OSD TV Guide " patch in the survival guide.

My problem (which is back again) only affected recordings as well. I tried the patch. Its working again, but time will tell if it continues to keep working.
