My apologies Sub, I should really read what I'm posting more carefully.
I meant to just say "a few" people reported this problem (me being one of them), and "if you do a search you will find a few posts on it", scim and pBS had also reported the same thing, why I wrote "quite" I've no idea but it does change the tone of the whole post.
To hide my embarrassment and also perhaps be a little more useful I thought I'd search the relevant posts on this and I've just found that Sub has already fixed this problem with the "On screen OSD TV Guide " patch in the survival guide:

Again my apologies Sub, it was a hastily written post trying to helpfully suggest that if athomas really needed auto aspect ratio then the old GBPVR worked for me or an offer to help him edit the ratio settings in the config file, it just came out wrong. I genuinely didn't mean to suggest that there were mounds of complaints about this that you were just ignoring.

Just copy over the PVRX2.exe from the above thread and that should sort it out.
