Can't get HVR 1600 analog working

You need to set the Deinterlacing setting back to 'encoder pass-through' on the misc tab of the config app.

Wow, that's insane how quick you found that. I guess when you stare at these frequently it's like second nature. I'll try that out. I shut that down because it seemed to help with CPU utilization during HDTV. I try it out again.

gazoo, if you are getting the quality and signal popup with the HVR 1600 then it is setup to use the digital tuner and not the analog one you want.

Sub was right, it was the interlacer. I had it set to none - this allowed me to play 1080i without stutter. I guess it's fine for now since this is going on an old TV set anyhow. It records fine if I leave the interlacer as none, and the 150MCE would work good. I guess what I'll do is leave the interlacer on for now, and when I get my LCD HDTV I'll switch it to none and use the 150MCE to view channels and the 1600analog to record.
