Thats why I was going to look at the logs. Sometimes directshow doesnt use the decoder you think you've told it to use.

Sorry. I may be confusing the issues. That response was about the "how can I make gbpvr jump to the dvd menu first, before playing a movie?". I understood that to mean that some movies would automatically start playing without showing the menu first.

I was treating this as a separate issue from the loss of user input which is probably due to the app losing focus or the decoder as sub mentioned. There was a tray icon that would steal focus and since that was in the tray, it would look like GBPVR still had focus when it really didn't.

Reproduce the problem and post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

OK, I restarted the service and the program, in the meantime having all logs recreated. After I started gbpvr, I ran 1 dvd (from video_ts directory, no physical dvd) which functioned OK. After that I ran 1 which would block input. This was closed when calling taskmanager. Windowskeys do function though, but keyboard commands for gbpvr do not.

Also I tried changing the videorenderer to cyberlink (see pic). The weird thing (to me) is that even when having changed all to cyberlink, still when playing, 2 icons, a red one and a blue one from ffdshow show up in the icontray. However this occurs with both dvd's, not only the problematic one.

Also I noticed that when the input locks up, the mousepointer disappears. Even when setting focus the Windows bij using the windowskey to open the startmenu. When I move the mouse over the startmenu/taskbar the mousepointer is shown, but when hovering away from it, the pointer disappears, like it's going "behind" gbpvr.

Hope things makes things more clear to you. doesn't for me ;-)

Cheers,

You'd need to set the logging level back to debug before the logs have any useful info.

Ah, ok.
Here's another set. created with very same set of actions as above.

Does anyone know why the ffdshow video raw decoder runs in my tray when all renderers are set like the picture above?

thnx in advance

The screenshot above is for decoders used during playback of .mpg/.ts files. The decoders used for DVD playback (which logs show), are set on the DVD tab.

Post the logs again now that you've got the correct decoders set and I'll take another look.

all set back to system default now. Guess it's the ffdshow decders still, so basically nothing will change for the dvd's I guess?
