Gedanken Wrote:Just a quick note. Thsi file doesn't exist on my machine either. I'm not using the new beta drivers but I am running the latest release versions.

Oddly, after a quick search, I don't see where the lineup scanning app saves the channel information.
It could be that the HDHR software no longer writes this file. I wouldn't worry about it. This file is irrelevant to GBPVR anyway. I was just wanting it to see what frequencies the HDHR's native scan found. There is another method I can use if I need to do so.

whurlston Wrote:K. One more thing. Did you remember to remove the semicolon from the TUNING_SPECIAL line in the bda.ini entry? If you don't, GBPVR will be scanning OTA frequencies.
Most definitely removed the semicolon. After my extremely dumb reading problem I carefully followed those instructions.
I hope to find some time tonite to play with it more but last night I should have left it alone with all the work I have. Gotta work to be able to buy these toys.
I also have not had a chance to try all the choices in the QAM manager and will do so.

Still no go picking up QAM. I've tried all the choices in QAM manager at least twice. Not once are they picked up. Don't have much free time tonite or the next few days but I may just start over again.

Finally got a number of channels with HDHR and GBPVR but none actually tune in. In fact, it crashed so many times I guess it screwed itself up. I didn't do anything different than I have been to get QAM but it doesn't seem to matter. Rescans that followed yielded nothing.

If you tune the channels in HDHomeRun Config (GUI), what signal strength are you getting?

The worst I have is 91%. The rest are all 95-100%. I purchased all new RG6 cables, splitters are the best money can buy (not cheap Radio Shack) and the last test by my cable company when they ran new wiring showed no problems.

That should be sufficient. Can you post your config*.log files showing the scan?

I unplugged the device, waited 10 seconds, plugged it in again and now I'm getting what appears to be the same number of channels found in the latest scan. I'm sure none will work but I'll send the logs as soon as it's done scanning.
Thanks

Scan got to 128 of 159 and crapped out. Not sure if you'll find anything in the logs.
Tonite's a NyQuil nite. Got a bad head thing going on and I'm crapping out too. More to follow in the coming days.

K. Not sure why it's crashing on you but the scan seems to find channels. One thing I did notice is that you have several channels with a signal strength of 100. In my experience, it's almost impossible to achieve this without over amping the signal, which may be what is happening in your case. If you have a four way splitter, try placing it in the line and don't terminate the open connections. Alternatively, try removing any amps on the line.
