I got GBPVR running on Windows Server 2008 standard.
First enable Desktop Experience then copy the following AX files from a Vista installation (windows/system32) to the system32 directory on W2K8.
Cut and paste the commands in a batch file to register them.
ok.. still not running.. you won't believe how many hours I did put into this.
Tried the ax files, was a nightmare with 64 bit.. after a while I found out that Bill puts his 32bits dll's and ax files into syswow64 and his 64bits dll's and ax files into system32.
Do a google on dll and 64bits :-(
But ok, no luck with 64bit.. so back to a fresh install 2008.
ax files ok now, used them from my Vista ultimate install.
no errors with missing multiplezers or anything..
But.. next problem :
made this bda.ini :
[TerraTec Cinergy C PCI DVB-C]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy C PCI Digital Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy C PCI Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
Getting this result back from filtercheck :
21:48:50.939 INFO Checking KSCATEGORY_BDA_NETWORK_TUNER filters
21:48:50.939 INFO found: Cinergy C PCI Digital Tuner
21:48:50.970 INFO - (input) Input0
21:48:50.970 INFO Checking KSCATEGORY_BDA_RECEIVER_COMPONENT filters
21:48:50.970 INFO found: Cinergy C PCI Digital Capture
21:48:50.970 INFO - (output) MPEG2 Transport
card seems ok, drivers loaded, shows up in config just fine.
But when I try to map channels to EPG, I'm getting an error saying :
GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use.
It looks like the BDA tuning spaces are not present on you machine. I'm not sure what you'd have to do to rectify that. They're normally present on all XP/Vista machines.
