HDHomerun help

You have the amp part correct. I do have one ($100) and Cox took the outside amp off as they said their signal was good enough. So, I have my ATI cable card tuners (2) amped and my QAM tuners amped and my modem and 1 analog tuner not amped. I'll try again going directly from the wall to the HDHR as well as the 2250 & 1600 to see if that helps but I'm almost 100% positive that I've already tried that......at least with the 2250 & 1600. Quite possible since the HDHR seems to be excellent quality, that an amp is not needed though many on that forum say they use one.
I'll post back when I get home from work and the brain is free of cold medicine. :o

Removed all other cards in this machine, ran cable directly from the splitter (1 line goes to modem other to amp) to the HDHR and then uninstalled GBPVR, nuked the directory, clean the registry, reinstalled GBPVR and then the latest beta posted on the HDHR site today and got nothing when I did a scan.
Ran QAM manager, Center Frequencies and got a good amount. But, no luck. Either trying the channels kills GBPVR or I don't get any channels working. Still VMC is the only way I can use HDHomerun.

If you have vnc on the machine, I'm happy to remote in and take a look for you. With VNC you'll be able to look over my shoulder will I check a few things.

I use to use Tight VNC ages ago and can get it but tonite is a 'scifi' night and I'm recording Altantis and Sanctuary but maybe later tonite or sometime this weekend if that's ok with you.
In the mean time, I'll get VNC and set it up (during commercials)
And, I'm not at all worried about you messing anything up.

Does it matter if I use RealVNC or TightVNC? And another time is fine. Most likely it will have to be Sunday (it's Friday after 8:30 here ---should be after 3:30 Sat. afternoon for you).

If its not a hassle, UltraVNC might be a good choice. I've already got the client installed, and would allow me to more easily transfer any files to the machine if we need patches.

sub, I have about 30 minutes of freedom before I do my Sat. morning honey-do list for the boss.......might not be a good time for you to be voyeuristic and sneak a look at my system? Or we can certainly do it another time.
