Winlirc IREx repeat problem

Hello, I am a new GB-PVR user converted from MythTV. I am having an issue with my remote. I am using a Lirc homebrew receiver and a Sony remote from my home theater system. I followed the Wiki to set it up and used my config file from MythTV. Everything works great exept when I push any button on the remote it repeats it 2 or 3 times. For example when I push “5” I get “555”. It worked fine under MythTV, so I am not too sure what is going on here. I know with Lirc in the .lircrc file you can specify a repeat parameter and set it to “0” to prevent this. I did not have to do this with MythTV but is there a way to do this with WinLirc or IREx? Is my remote to sensitive? It is pretty annoying when I trying to use the remote. Please Help?:confused:

I'm having the same problem trying to get irex to work with my comcast remote. It sends double keys.

I noticed a repeat parameter in winlirc but it's set to 9009 2288. I tried changing those values and crashed winlirc. Not sure what to do now.

Anyone have any ideas?

I figured this one out. In the remote config file for WINLIRC, comment out:
repeat, gap, and repeat_gap.

# repeat 9023 2284
# gap 39884
# repeat_gap 39884
