Hi,
I'm still struggling with some video filter issues it seems. If I open a DVD in Media Player it plays flawlessly. But if I open the same DVD in Gbpvr it starts very slow, I'd say about 2 frames every 10 seconds untill it's been running for about 30 seconds. After this it seems to come good. During this time the CPU is maxed out at 100%. I'm running at Cel 2.2 with 768 Ram and an ATI 9250. Normal CPU usage when watiching live Tv is about 30-35% if that gives some idea on normal resource usage. I can't see that DVD playback should be that CPU intensive so something is wrong somewhere, amd seeing as it should not be resources I'm betting is somewhere software/filter related.
I'm running 97.7 but with K-lite codec pack installed. Using the Intervideo DVD decoder and navigator. I'm not sure if the issue is with the codec pack or not. I guess all I need is Divx, Xvid and the Cyberlink or Intervideo Mpeg decoders. I could uninstall the Codecs and just install what I need, but I'm not sure if that's even the issue.
Does anybody have any suggestions of how to try and locate the problem? Or any combinations of filters and codecs that seem to work. I don't know how to find if there is some sort of conflict happening. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Cheers.
