hi there. i cant get GBPVR to "find" my t300 card. i have installed the latest version of the drives from the compro site and have the lastest version of GBPVR.

where should i start to look please?

(from what i can see - althought i dont understand it much - the section in the BDA.INI file

[Compro VideoMate T300]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=VideoMate BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=VideoMate BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

the filter_turner= line is different towhat i have found with the graphedit program. it reads it as VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-t Capture.

could this be the problem? thanks for your help.

Yes. It needs to match the names shown in GraphEdit.

cool. i did sort of try that, but im not sure how to run the graph edit program.
the ini file now reads.

[Compro VideoMate T300]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-T TV Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-T Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

but it still says it can't detect card.

anything else?

I'm guessing you've still got something wrong in the name. Try explicitly setting that card type, then click the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' button to initiate a scan. Then zip and attach the config.exe-native.log so I can check.

Yes, its very definitely saying it cant find a filter on you machine with the name you've specified:

Quote:14:26:00.703 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-T TV Tuner

[Compro VideoMate T300]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-T DCBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=VideoMate Hybrid A+DVB-T Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Two possibilities I can think of:

1) Are these definitely BDA drivers? ie, when you did the 'insert filters' in GraphEdit, did you find them in the 'BDA Receiver Component' and 'BDA Source Filters' categories?

2) They may have spaces on the end of the names, which is something we've seen before. If this is the case, you can probably find the correct name in Regedit, and you'll need to quote them in bda.ini.

well, that seems to be better. one char wrong in discription. but now when it scans for channels it finds nothing?

any more ideas please? the old software that the card came with could find all the local channels fine so they are there on the antenia.

could it be looking at the wrong input? that card can record of comp. and analog as well?
