Hi,

I have the websceduling is running on the default port and I have pinholed my router to forward requests on ports 7647 and 80 to port 7647 on the PVR. I use dyndns to assign a static domain to my router (it has builtin support for updating dyndns records). I had to add port 80 as a second port because the IT department at my partner's work had port 7647 blocked.

I can use the webscheduling fine from my work and other machines on the LAN, but my partner cannot from her workplace - she gets the login page, but when she clicks 'Log In' after entering the username/password, "The little bar thing goes along at the bottom but the screen doesn't change" (her words Wink). Any idea why she can't login but I can?

PS: The webscheduling feature is awesome! I didn't even know about it until someone at my work started using GBPVR and told me about it

You better ask your question here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2030. They might not read all the threads in the forum.

Anyone know of an alternative to Dyndns updater? I attempted to install it on my work computer but since I don't have adminstrative rights I can't.

I have tried Dyndns updater on my Mac computer at home and it does work. I love it. I just wish I could install Dyndns updater on my work computer.

Any thoughts?

If you don't have admin rights... I don't know what to tell you. Not to mention that any business concerned enough not to give you Admin rights will also have a router installed. Unless they open up the right ports on the router for you, having dyndns updater installed will be useless. FYI

Since your partner can see the login screen but could not login, that means your setup are correct. Your next step is to try the autologin setup to see if she is able to login. Then you can tighten the security after she is able to see the tvguide.
