Interlacing Problem

While watching live tv, when the camera pans sideways, I always get the top half of the picture breaking up. I'm sure it is an interlacing problem, but not sure how to fix it. I have set deinterlace to encoder passthru, and hopefully my graphics card is doing the de-interlacing (on board 6150) Any ideas or hints?

to add to my pevious post...I 'think' it is an interlacing problem...i may be wrong

sounds like tearing, interlacing is you see a bunch of little lines with slightly different images on them.

try the overlay renderer

Yes, tearing is exactly the problem, and overlay does seem to fix it. Do I lose anything using it over VMR9? Why does overlay fix the problem?

extra OSD layers (vobsub) and OSD transparency, less CPU usage
