Ever since I did a re-install of the latest version a few weeks back I've had a little problem with using keyboard commands.

Playback for both recordings and videos will not respond to keyboard commands when I start playback. If I click the mouse and pause and then restart playback using the || button that shows up on the screen, the keyboard commands start working. The keyboard commands will remain working untill I escape from (end) the video or recording. If I start another video, I will have to repeat the pause and re-start using the mouse again.

The key mappings files are copied from the previous install. They worked fine there. Thanks.

I'm guessing something in your setup is stealing the focus (probably a decoder that creates a system tray icon). We've seen this before.

If you click on on the video, does the keyboard start working again?

Good Call. That is exactly what is happening. I can also alt-tab in and out of making it work. But when I alt-tab to what ever is stealing focus nothing really changes on screen. Any ideas on how to figure out what is doing it and how to fix it??

What type of file were you playing at the time this occurs? The divx decoder is known to do this when playing divx avi files. There is some instructions here somewhere on how to stop it doing this.

If its not a divx file, zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log after it occurs and I'll take a look.

It's the "Divx Menu Navigator". Finally figured out how to make it tell me.

I dont remember the exact details for disabling its tray tool, but there is some discussion about it over at the divx forums. This annoying behaviour affects lot sof apps.

Just to document what the fix is for this problem I found it on the DIVX form under the forum link;

http://support.divx.com/cgi-bin/divx.cfg...faqid=1630

You have to download the "DIVX Toggle Toolbar Tool" from the following link and run it. It disables the Divx toolbar (go figure). It worked for me.
