Help resolving the timestamp problem

i read the sticky, and i have 2 questions:

1)the sticky is from one year ago. the driver on hauppauge web site is newer. should i use the newer?

2)it's written there: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\hcwPP2\DriverData
"HcwTimeStampIssue1"=dword:00000001
"HcwTimeStampIssue2"=dword:00000000


i'm not so expert in making changes in the registry. i opened "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\hcwPP2\DriverData"

now - when i want to add new value, i have to choose between string value, binary value, etc.... what should i use? can someone add a printscreen?

You should be creating the settings with the type DWORD.

I dont know for sure, but I'd assume so.
